Hello everyone and welcome to my blog at this hour. This is my entry for the ecotrain question of the week about Miracles. Miracles happen around us every day and we don't really need to look to far before we witness a miracle. There are so many miraculous happenings that we do not even pay so much attention to because it has become a norm for us. It is not when miracles such as getting involved in a car accident and every one except you die, that it is a miracle. For some people they believe that miracle is supposed to be a mind blowing incident that is so enormous to imagine such as receiving millions in one's account without working for it or passing an examination without studying at all. We have failed to pay attention to the miracle behind life. I have sat down to imagine how it is a miracle to sleep and wake up. This will make more sense when you hear news about people that slept the previous night and didn't wake up the next day. With that you'd value life more and not take it for granted when you wake up hale and hearty.
Let me share a miraculous story that I experienced about two years ago with you. A big brother came to my city to visit someone. So, he called me to bring a pair of sneakers for him that he'd like to hang out but he only have corporate shoes with him. I took the shoes to him. About three days later when he was set to leave I planned to go pick up my shoes.

Earlier that day I went for an event that lasted till about 6.30pm, so it was fairly dark. Unknown to me that the area that the cab dropped me off was a criminal den, I walked majestically as I tried to cross to the other side of the bridge. All of a sudden, two boys dressed in black shirt and trousers holding knife double crossed me - I was caught unaware. I didn't imagine such could ever happen at that time of the day and in that location.
I tried to run back to the highway and escape from them but two other boys were already behind me. At this point I had to just surrender. They put me in the middle with knifes held to my stomach, I was shaking in fear as they searched and took all they found with me such as phone and wallet. After they took all that they ran back to the bush. I stood up and ran back to the highway, sobbing and trembling.
I was able to get home through the help of a passerby that I begged for some money to transport me home. Later that week, I got to know how notorious that particular spot was and how people have lost their lives there. It was a great miracle that they didn't harm me in any way whatsoever. I understood how miraculous it was when I heard how people have been stabbed to death in similar situations.
