Seeing ourselves as a whole is very difficult but it's not impossible. You always can know, how others see yourself, what values you are adding to society. But these need a lot of passion so you can evaluate yourself.
The problem is, we never realize that we need to do this!
Most of us have different personal goals. Like you want to achieve this or that at a certain age. But when it comes to any social goal like 'adding value to the society in a certain way at a certain age' we are not that efficient. We never think that way, we are clueless about this.
I know it happens. Especially in this society when everyone practices individualism.
But don't you think, we must give back something to society? You may think that there are no contributions to society in your life. If so, you are dead wrong. Maybe you didn't get support actively but in many passive ways. And how do you think, this world would change if we don't try to contribute and add value?
That's why understanding that we need to add value, we need to contribute is necessary. Now if you realize that, it's time to evaluate 'what you are doing'. If you are already on the right path, congratulations. But if not, then find ways 'how you can give back'.
You can be a social worker, a volunteer, a donator; whatever fits you, whatever you like to do. Just don't do things for yourself; think about others and as a whole for the society!
