K-Variety Show = Moodbooster No. 1!

Hello K-Lovers….
This time, I'm really excited about this week's theme. I actually like all the options (K-Webtoon, K-Variety Show, K-Beauty, K-Fashion). Since I love watching, I chose a K-Variety show. This is really fun, because of the many variety shows that Korea has, sometimes I even get confused about which one to watch.
Okay, I'll start from the legendary Variety Show RUNNING MAN. Who doesn't know RUNNING MAN? Even laypeople love this variety show. The comedic actors and MCs make this variety show entertaining at any opportunity.
The games and chases are always exciting and are my favorites, especially since they like to bring in famous guest stars, making the variety show even more exciting, wahhh
To be honest, what makes Running Man so special for me is the chemistry the members. When someone is missing, the energy really shifts—like when Kwang-soo left, duhh I genuinely felt a gap. I still laugh out loud at moments like Yoo Jae-suk struggling in water games or Haha’s hilarious betrayals. It’s not just funny, it feels like watching a group of close friends having real fun.
Other than Running Man, I’ve also been a fan of 1 Night 2 Days (1박2일) for years. The wild outdoor missions and unexpected punishments always keep me entertained! It's similar in genre to a game show, but this one is more natural, with the cast traveling and playing games while wandering around and walking in nature to complete missions.
Now, for the comedy and humorous variety shows, I love Knowing Bros (아는 형님 / Jibsabu). It's a school format with several students accepting new students. Here, they simply have to put on a spontaneous talk show. Honestly, sometimes their jokes make me laugh out loud, especially Hee Chul's, hahaha.
Next, a refreshing variety show. I find it truly healing (because I love nature). Do you know what variety show? Three Meals a Day (삼시세끼). Wahhh, this variety makes me feel ehmmm ... that living in the countryside is very relaxing and peace. Cook with natural ingredients from nature, whether the sea or the forest. There are many incidents that make me think about living in the countryside too.
Now, this is even more natural, living and struggling in the jungle. LAW OF THE JUNGLE, yay! Honestly, this is my my my favorite. It's crazy how they can make a variety show like this. The cast really live off ingredients found in nature. In one episode, a guest star even brought home a spice mix and was reprimanded by the staff because it wasn't sourced naturally. It really has to come from nature! Wow, that's so cool ...
There are many scenes that really make us wonder: can they survive there? And will they make it home safely? Because there are often cast members who get injured and the signal is difficult on set. I really appreciate the staff and cast involved. Bravo!
There are actually many variety shows I want to talk about here, but it would be too long, haha. So, for now, this is it, and this variety show is my favorite of the lot.
And if you want to watch more, I recommend some variety shows worth checking out. If you like idols, you can watch Weekly Idol, Idol Room, and Amazing Saturday. If you like children's lives, you can watch The Return of Superman & Hello Baby. And if you like adventures full of missions interspersed with comedy, you can watch Youth Over Flowers, Earth Arcade, and Backpackers on the Road (출장 십오야).
Oh yeah, another favorite of mine. Besides being funny, this variety show is full of the knowledge and experience of the senior guest stars. What else if not MASTER IN THE HOUSE! This is one variety show I never skip, even after changing the cast.
Okay, guys, that's enough for now, and this is my experience with K-Variety Shows. There are so many lessons, experiences, knowledge, tips, and tricks shared by them. And don't forget, the unparalleled entertainment makes me and the other viewers laugh and forget about our problems for a moment, haha!
