1️⃣ Scenario 1: A reputation 52 friend says that she no longer wants to be active in Hive, claiming that she can't make the time, the coin is so low valued, and only a few people ever read her posts. What could you do to encourage and help her to keep trying? Writing tips? Time management? Other?
It's easy to want to give up on the hive if one feels like they aren't seen or heard here on the hive.
Here are my 2 cents on the matter.
Check your motive behind joining the hive
I believe if you write for the love of it, this would hardly make you want to give up.
after all, you are doing what you love, most people see the hive as a money-making machine, they are in the hive just for the money, so I'll advise her to check her motive and change her mindset first.
Set a schedule
At the start of the year, I created a writing schedule, sounds funny yeah?😁😁😁
Image is mine
I created a schedule on how to manage my time in the hive.
I am often occupied by many things so I drafted a schedule on how to meet up.
If you can zoom the schedule, you'll see how I plan to stay active each day, if I post one community today I make sure I engage on other people's posts in that same community for that day, this wouldn't make me feel overwhelmed.
To have a friend on the hive, be a friend first
I make it my goal to reach out first either by following people who publish regular and meaningful posts, reblogging their content, upvoting, and even leaving a nice comment on their blog, they too might reciprocate this, that's how the hive works.
52 is just a number, make your presence on the hive count
Though a high reputation helps you to be seen, however, if you publish meaningful content, people will feel your impact, could you teach them how to do something? If you know how to bake, sew, or do anything could you be an asset here? I sew, and I've made it a goal to make an impact on the #Needlework and #Diy community.
I teach people how to make some styles, hats, and other things I know how to do. That way people who share a similar mindset can visit my blog too and we become friends.
Teaching on a hive can earn you a good upvote as many people will upvote to show appreciation for the effort you put in.
Join the contest and writing prompts
If you run out of what to write there are always writing prompts in most communities.
Are you good at writing poems? Find the #blockchainpoet community, stories. #inkwell, #schorsandscribe #freewriter.
Just find your niche and vibe along with the prompt if you can't think of anything to write, the prompt helps you to stay active and inspired.
Consistency
Just like you wouldn't miss work just for flimsy reasons, show up on hive every day, people see watching and just one day can make all the difference.
Avoid plagiarism
Resist the urge to plagiarize, use your head and stay creative.
There are so many things to write about.
How about how your day went? What do you feel at the moment? How the sky looks today? The challenges have you encountered for the week? What you ate and how to cook it? A good person on your street? Think outside the box. Just stay original and vibe along.
Join the PYPT (Pimp Your Post Thursday)
There you get to meet @shadowspub, @kittygirl, and other amazing souls who are willing to read your content, you drop the link to your post thereby advertising your write-up to reach many readers if the content is good enough. You'll get noticed in no time.
What else am I missing out on?
Use the appropriate tags and post in the appropriate community
If you are teaching us how to make something, don't post it in the blockchain poet community, nobody will read it, post it in the right community.
Use tags that suit your post and just stay happy and source all the photos and quotes you used appropriately.
Take my hands and stay strong girlie.
I wish you all the best girlie!!
Thanks for reading!
