¡Hola hola, mi querida gente de Ladies of Hive! Perdón por tanta pérdida dentro de esta plataforma pero de verdad que mi trabajo ha consumido gran parte de mi tiempo que al momento de llegar a mi casa, empiezo a hacer las cosas del hogar y cuando termino es tan tarde que ya solo me toca prepararme para la siguiente jornada laboral... pero, ya estoy tratando de desocupar todo porque realmente me gusta mucho estar aquí, escribir, contarles cosas, hacer tutoriales y desahogarme un poco por estos lados.
Y hablando de que me gusta contarles cosas de mi vida cotidiana, quiero compartirles dentro de este grupo si se me permite que por primera vez celebro el día del periodista ya formando parte del gremio y ejerciendo la carrera. Esto es algo que me emociona mucho ya que había ocasiones en que recibía y daba las felicitaciones de lejos, luego dejaba pasar el día como otro cualquiera pero esta vez fue diferente.
Hello hello, my dear people of Ladies of Hive! Sorry for so much loss in this platform but my work has consumed so much of my time that by the time I get home, I start doing household things and when I finish it's so late that I just have to get ready for the next working day... but, I'm trying to clear everything because I really like to be here, write, tell you things, make tutorials and let off some steam around these parts.
And speaking of the fact that I like to tell you things about my daily life, I want to share with you in this group, if I may, that for the first time I am celebrating the journalist's day being part of the guild and practicing my career. This is something that excites me a lot because there were times when I received and gave congratulations from afar, then let the day pass like any other, but this time it was different.
Sabemos que el Día del Periodista se celebró el pasado 27 de junio, pero esperé hasta ahora para escribirles este post porque en la semana hasta este momento hubo algunas actividades que se realizaron respecto a esta efeméride que quise compartirles aqui.
We know that the Journalist's Day was celebrated last June 27th, but I waited until now to write this post because during the week until now there were some activities that took place regarding this event that I wanted to share with you here.
El mismo 27 en la oficina nos recibieron con una linda ambientación, globitos y una pancarta decoraron nuestro espacio de trabajo. Pero no solo fue eso, ese fin de semana el Colegio Nacional de Periodistas (ente institucional que aboga por los periodistas y el buen ejercicio de esta profesión), nos invitó a una misa y un almuerzo donde pude reencontrarme con algunos colegas que me guiaron en mi camino mientras estuve en la universidad, al igual que me reencontré con una gran amiga
On the 27th, we were welcomed at the office with a nice atmosphere, balloons and a banner decorated our work space. But not only that, that weekend the National College of Journalists (institutional body that advocates for journalists and the good practice of this profession), invited us to a mass and a lunch where I could meet again with some colleagues who guided me on my way while I was in college, as well as I met again with a great friend.
Para empezar, la misa estuvo muy bonita dedicado a todos los periodista que día a día ejercen su labor con valentía y de manera veraz.
To begin with, the mass was very beautifully dedicated to all the journalists who day by day carry out their work with courage and truthfulness.
Después de la misa, todos nos dirigimos en un bus que habían contratado los periodistas de uno de los municipios cercanos hacia el restaurant donde sería el agasajo (celebración) por nuestro día.
After mass, we all went in a bus that had been hired by journalists from one of the nearby municipalities to the restaurant where the celebration for our day would be held.
La experiencia dentro del lugar fue increíble, todos fueron personas maravillosas y el ambiente se sintió muy cómodo.
The experience inside the place was amazing, everyone was wonderful people and the atmosphere felt very comfortable.
Pasamos una tarde muy agradable entre colegas, almorzamos, nos dieron postre, me tomé muchas fotos con los compañeros que reconocí y estudiaron conmigo, como también con personas que recién conocía y sobre todo me tomé fotos con una gran amiga que tenia rato que no veía desde la universidad.
We spent a very pleasant afternoon among colleagues, we had lunch, they gave us dessert, I took many pictures with classmates I recognized and studied with me, as well as with people I just met and above all I took pictures with a great friend that I had not seen for a while since college.
Luego de la celebración que tuvimos por el CNP, unos días después tuvimos una sesión especial (un acto ceremonial) en el lugar donde trabajo, que ha sido algo que me ha llenado de mucho orgullo para mí puesto que es un reconocimiento a mi trabajo (y los madrugones que me he hechado jaja), de verdad me siento muy agradecida.
After the celebration we had for the CNP, a few days later we had a special session (a ceremonial act) in the place where I work, which has been something that has filled me with great pride for me since it is a recognition of my work (and the early mornings that I have done haha), I really feel very grateful.
Y para cerrar también nos llevaron a almorzar en un lindo restaurant de mi pueblito que, dejenme decirles, me alegra mucho comer aquí debido a que por la crisis económica muchos negocios cerraron en mi municipio pero ya poco a poco han ido abriendo y eso provoca un aire de nuevos comienzos y renacimientos en mi localidad.
And to close, they also took us to lunch at a nice restaurant in my town, which, let me tell you, I am very happy to eat here because due to the economic crisis many businesses closed in my town but little by little they have been opening and that causes an air of new beginnings and rebirth in my town.
Recuerdo que cuando terminé la universidad, días después de mi graduación, pensaba ¿qué haré ahora? lo cierto es que si, estudié comunicación social, mención: Audiovisual, debía buscar un lugar donde ejercer el periodismo, redactar noticias, patear las calles en busca de información pero realmente eso no me llamaba mucho la atención, lo que me enamoró de mi carrera fue el área audiovisual, crear vídeos, darle vida a mis ideas a través de imágenes y pensaba que aunque entrara en ese momento a un medio, no haría al 100% lo que realmente me gustara, tal vez hasta me sentiría estresada (la mayoría de mis pensamientos eran sobre que no quería redactar puesto que sentía que ese era mi lado más débil). Irónicamente caí en un ente institucional donde se supone que obviamente debía redactar noticias pero aquí me han permitido hacer mucho más. Admito que he intentado sacarle el cuerpo a la redacción de las notas de prensa pero se que debo mejorar en ello, al igual que en mi escritura en general. Pero, a lo que quiero intentar llegar con mi monólogo es que siempre tienes que luchar por lo que quieres y aunque pienses que llegaste a un punto de tu vida donde ya no sabes que hacer, lo cierto es que ella te sorprende; como dicen: la vida da muchas vueltas y siempre te va a guiar hacia donde debes estar en ese momento, tal vez puedas llegar a sentir que no estas en el lugar correcto pero si lo estas, te encuentras en la oportunidad del aprendizaje para llegar a tu siguiente punto. Confíen en sí mismos, la vida siempre les traerá cosas buenas. Luchen por lo que quieren y recorran todo lo que tienen que recorrer para llegar a su meta. La recompensa será inmensa, se los prometo.
I remember that when I finished college, days after my graduation, I thought, what will I do now? The truth is that yes, I studied social communication, mention: Audiovisual, I had to look for a place to practice journalism, write news, kick the streets in search of information but really that did not call me much attention, what I fell in love with my career was the audiovisual area, create videos, give life to my ideas through images and I thought that even if I entered at that time to a medium, I would not do 100% what I really liked, maybe I would even feel stressed (most of my thoughts were about not wanting to write since I felt that was my weakest side). Ironically I fell into an institutional entity where I was obviously supposed to write news but here I have been allowed to do so much more. I admit that I have tried to get the hang of writing press releases but I know I need to get better at it, as well as my writing in general. But, what I want to try to get to with my monologue is that you always have to fight for what you want and even if you think you have reached a point in your life where you no longer know what to do, the truth is that it surprises you; as they say: life takes many turns and it will always guide you to where you should be at that moment, maybe you may feel that you are not in the right place but if you are, you are in the learning opportunity to get to your next point. Trust in yourself, life will always bring you good things. Fight for what you want and go through everything you have to go through to get to your goal. The rewards will be immense, I promise you.
