If I could be ANY scent in the world, what would I be?
I would choose to be the Scent of Optimism.
Is that even a proper smell?? If you THINK about it, and the REMEMBER those hopeful moments, you'll come to more easily recognize the Scent of Optimism.

New notebooks are on the Scent of Optimism spectrum. Actually, yes, I AM old enough to have started out High School at the Convent of Mercy in Lilydale, Victoria, Australia with an actual fountain pen. I still also equate the smell of fresh ink with excitement, optimism and creativity. I literally sit SNIFFING excitedly before I write anything. Yes, I still scratch out my thoughts with a fountain pen.
Right next to New Notebooks is the smell of New School Shoes. Remember that smell? Sidebar: $150 for a pair of new school shoes??!! 😱
Then there's the unmistakable optimism for humanity that FILLS YOUR SOUL when you bury your nose in the back of a young baby's neck. There is honestly NOTHING like the gentle swell of optimism when you SNIFF a new baby and all of the love and hope and life's longing for itself their scent represents. @riverflows - this one's for you!

Sometimes the Scent of Optimism carries more piney notes, just like a freshly cut Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. A child dreaming of that book she always wanted and that special building set that's really supposed to be for boys but she's hoping no one will notice. The piney notes also smell just like an anxious mother HOPING her little one will LOVE the gifts chosen.

One of the MOST optimistic fragrances in my life - then and now - is the fragrance of new beeswax. As a child it also sparked a sense of incredible optimism in the form of the big Pascal Easter candle and the treasure hunt and chocolate eggs to follow. As an adult, the smell of fresh beeswax remains crazily optimistic for me, cos it means we're making new products in my herbal business, for new customers.
What else is seriously unique to the Scent of Optimism? The scent of rainbows over rain soaked earth.
What I love about the idea of embodying the Scent of Optimism, is that it's everything that I want to be in the world. Hopeful, soul-satisfying, heart-lifting, and deeply encouraging.
