Colors in my closet that speak about me (EN-ES)

Greetings, my dear Ladies of Hive. Happy day, I hope you are doing very well with abundant health and well-being.

Today I want to share my participation in the #248 edition of the contest to which we are invited, weekly, by the Ladies of Hive. On this occasion, I will answer the first question that our friend @ifarmgirl has proposed this week:

1️⃣ What is the predominant color in your closet? Was it a conscious choice or did it just become that way over time? Feel free to give us a preview!

I've always loved color. For years, my clothes were full of vibrant prints and cheerful tones that reflected my taste for the lively and creative. But if I open my closet right now, what stands out most to the eye is a fairly sober and neutral range: black, gray, blue, brown, green and beige. These are the colors that are most repeated in my clothes, and although at first I hadn't noticed it at all, I can now say that yes, those tones clearly predominate. It was not a conscious decision. The mourning for the loss of my mother marked a stage in which, without realizing it, I began to choose darker colors to wear. In recent years, I have been choosing what made me feel comfortable, what combined easily and what I could wear on different occasions, without getting too complicated.

Hoy quiero compartir mi participación en la edición #248 del concurso al que nos invitan, semanalmente, las Damas de Hive. En esta ocasión, daré respuesta a la primera pregunta que nos ha propuesto la amiga @ifarmgirl esta semana:

1️⃣ ¿Cuál es el color que predomina en tu armario? ¿Fue una elección consciente o simplemente se convirtió en eso con el tiempo? ¡No dudes en darnos un adelanto!

Siempre me han gustado mucho los colores. Durante años, mi ropa estaba llena de estampados vibrantes y tonos alegres que reflejaban mi gusto por lo vivo y lo creativo. Pero si abro mi clóset ahora mismo, lo que más resalta a la vista es una gama bastante sobria y neutra: negro, gris, azul, marrón, verde y beige. Son los colores que más se repiten en mi ropa, y aunque al principio no lo había notado del todo, ya puedo decir que sí, esos tonos predominan con claridad. No fue una decisión consciente. El duelo por la pérdida de mi mamá marcó una etapa en la que, sin darme cuenta, empecé a elegir colores más oscuros para vestirme. En estos últimos años, fui eligiendo lo que me hacía sentir cómoda, lo que combinaba fácil y lo que podía usar en distintas ocasiones, sin complicarme demasiado.

Black and gray, for example, I like because they give me a sense of elegance and practicality. Blue seems to me a friendly, versatile color that always makes me feel good. Brown and beige connect me with the earth, with the natural, with that simple warmth that I like to reflect. And green, although less present, I love it because it reminds me of nature, of tranquility.

As time went by, I realized that these colors also represent me. They are not strident or too flashy, but they have personality. Maybe my closet speaks a little about me: a mix of calm, balance and comfort. So, although I didn't plan it, I think my style was woven little by little, just like many other things in life. Now, every time I choose something new, I realize that I'm still on the same path, and I like it.

El negro y el gris, por ejemplo, me gustan porque me dan una sensación de elegancia y practicidad. El azul me parece un color amigable, versátil, que siempre me hace sentir bien. El marrón y el beige me conectan con la tierra, con lo natural, con esa calidez sencilla que me gusta reflejar. Y el verde, aunque está menos presente, me encanta porque me recuerda a la naturaleza, a la tranquilidad.

Con el paso del tiempo me fui dando cuenta de que estos colores también me representan. No son estridentes ni demasiado llamativos, pero tienen personalidad. Tal vez mi armario hable un poco de mí: una mezcla de calma, equilibrio y comodidad. Así que, aunque no lo planeé, creo que mi estilo se fue tejiendo poco a poco, igual que muchas otras cosas en la vida. Ahora, cada vez que elijo algo nuevo, me doy cuenta de que sigo por el mismo camino, y me gusta.
