Dressing up, walking down the street to the busy road is not something you can get accustomed to because sometimes the noise around can be exhausting and the movement of stepping on each other to get a bus or alight from one can suck out the living soul from the body. And then getting home to get things done to end the day may leave one paralyze for a thousand years. However, despite it all, the hustle must continue and work be done.
Carrying out different activities at the same time like some sort of alien is one of women's superpowers and while doing all these, the energy is high with each movement till it is sucked dry and leaves you like autumn. Though still beautiful, exhausted, and in need of urgent rest, which most times can be hard to get with intense fatigue.
The legs feel heavy and painful with intense heat and the body is tired, it really affects the physical, emotional and mental state of our lives and this can be damaging to our health if not checked out on time. This brings me to the question posed by @tibaire on the Ladies of Hive community below;
We women are known for carrying out several activities at the same time. Somehow, we always balance our schedules to accomplish them all, even though sometimes that brings us excessive fatigue. My question is: What do you do when you feel exhausted? How do you regulate your physical, mental, and emotional state to be yourself again?
As a lady, work needs to be done no matter what, which leaves us drained at the end of the day. Therefore, at this moment, I find myself tuning into my five senses. Though it can be hard to do that alone, which is why I have an app that helps me relax.
As you can see, there are meditation, sleep stories, and music options, which gives me the option to choose based on what I feel. Listening to any chosen option always has their effect as long as you follow the voice of the speaker. He/She leads you to a perfect tranquility where you can receive stress by asking you to do things without talking.
With this, you get to work with your five senses to help relieve stress. Firstly, you start breathing in and out, which helps with your mind and stabilizes your breathing. Then, take in 5 objects you can see around you. Don't stress it, and just take time to look at those familiar things you can remember.
The next on the agenda to help relieve exhaustion is closing your eyes and tuning into the sound all around you. Is it the horn of cars, rustling of the leaves, the chirping of birds or movement of the wind.
Then we move to three things you can feel. The presence of the wind gently comes through the window and rests on your skin, the warmth from the sun/moon and any other thing.
Moving on, we move to the two things you can smell, which can be the cool breeze finding its way to your nostril. In this case, I take myself to times spent at the sea and bring them into my presence. It helps calm my heart more and makes me relax more.
The last on tuning into the five senses is the tasting. Moving your tongue gently to touch your lips and see if you can taste anything. However, if you can't, that's alright too.
Doing these, I feel so refreshed afterwards and end it with some song from the app or sometimes, I choose the song I want and today, I am sharing with you one of Enya's songs titled watermark.
It has helped me, and so has some other songs that help calm my mind and work miracles on my physical, emotional, and mental self. I hope you found these things helpful like I do.
