Everyday, there are always things to be gotten. New items pop up on our screens through adverts beseeching us to buy them. Truth be told, no day passes by without someone somewhere making a new purchase.
When I saw the second prompt question by the #ladiesofhivecommunity, I smiled. It was like @merit.ahama saw into the future before she posed those questions. I have been planning to make a new purchase since the beginning of this year. I didn't make it as a goal because I felt it would be very easy to buy. All I needed was the money.
If only wishes were horses right?.
Yeah, life happened and before I could finish blinking, half of the year had passed and we are now in the seventh month….wow!
I didn't forget my purchase, neither did I relegate it to the back seat. Life simply happened, pushing things out of course for me. Okay I think I should come out clean and state what my new purchase was all about.
I currently have a 20,000mah power bank which serves me well no doubt. But with the recent power supply adversity in my city, the power bank gets used up quickly and I left stranded if I cannot find a place to charge.
Plus, my friends at work would come with their phones and cords and be like ”Miss Becky, can you help me charge my phone a little?”
”Hmmm………let me cinsukt my Oracle”, would be my response but they know that my soft and kind heart would not let me refuse them and so my 20,000mah power bank would serve about six phones in one day. Charging and powering those devices to a good percentage.
”Can I blame them?” No I can't because we are all in the same boat, suffering the same lack of electric power supply.
This was what prompted me to wanting to buy a new power bank. One with a higher mAh capacity. I made my findings and got to know that the price for a power bank with a 30,000mah capacity was around forty thousand naira (35hbd). I felt it was nothing at the time and went about my daily routine. No pressure for getting the power bank then.
What I did not expect was for time to fly by and my purchase remained unmet. Firstly, I was making plans for my daughter who was to write her Junior examinations popularly referred to as Junior Waec here in Nigeria.
I was also preparing for her Junior school graduation party. Making plans on what and what to buy that I didn't take note of my much needed power bank. Anyways, everything I have been planning for would soon be rounded up on Tuesday the 29th of July which is thsle set day for her party.
I'm certain that once I'm done, I will channel my resources into getting my much need power bank to supplement the one I am currently having with me. Then I'll no longer be scared when there is a lack of power supply for days just like @kingsleyy 😁.
Thank you all for reading.
