I was innocently scrolling through some content on social media today, I usually do that to get some sort of information but I am always sure not to spend time on it. When I found this author speaking about things that smart people abstain from, I knew the topic would be not only a good one but also a very educating one too.
You will agree with me that a smart person makes better decisions and appears to live a more confident and pleasurable life, why would we not desire smartness on all levels if it provides such a good omen. Even if we have been doing things in an unsmart way before, there is always room for improvement and there is always time to make necessary adjustments that could help us become better humans.
Getting troubled about the past.
Smart people understand that there is nothing that can be done with the past apart from picking out lessons from it. The past remains in the past and absolutely nothing has the power to change it. Getting bothered over happenings of the past will only continue to hurt.
They do not waste time gossiping.
Smart people understand that time is precious and they will not spend it talking about other people behind their backs. They also know that gossips will still talk about them with other people. Gossips are usually liars, filled with hatred and bitterness for other people. As a smart person, discard gossip talks with suggestions on how to grow and have big dreams.
They do not feel inferior.
Inferiority complex is a limiting factor to the achievement of greatness, smart people are always confident even when they are not the best in the room. They are always smart enough to know that they can be whosoever they set out their hearts to be and no one else can stop them other than themselves. Instead of feeling intimidated by the success of other people, they only take lessons and mentorship from them.
They take actions.
Wishing is for a normal person but a smart person understands the need to take continuous strategic actions. Wishing will not attract anything positive when actions are not involved, take the appropriate steps in the right direction and act accordingly instead of lying down on your couch and wishing that some fortunes will come to you.
No one cares about your thoughts and wishes, the only thing the world is concerned about is is the result you are able to produce.
