This is selfmade and cheap. Nowadays when you have the paper straws it’s even quicker to make. All you need are a few things.
- vase
- adhesive tape
- scissors
- candle
- birdsand
- ribbon
- flowers or herbs
I made this a while back and saved this as a draft and want to share and see if any of you hivers want to make one aswell.
The way you go is that you set the vase on a table and fill it with the sand and the candle. A littl waxine I got is also possible to use as you see in the secon one next to the giraffe i made for my Sil. Lovely for these days when the days are getting shorter and the evenings darker.
This is the one that is finished while i put small little white flowers we call gipskruid in the Netherlands.
You can put it everywhere you want the candle to light the room.
You can also spray paint the vase and straws if you like.
Here is step one when you dont start with the sand and candle.
You put on the adhesive , i used teas double sided. That way the straws can be sticked on really quick.
I cut the straws randomly in length to have the different lengths.
The ribbons are all different , I made this one as a present. At the end I photographed the one that is on my table now.
Cheap really great to give as a christmas present in 4 weeks.
I think it’s a romantic feel.

This is GIPSKRUID flowers , very cheap and they dry in and you can use them for a long time.
Is also have these stones I was planning to use these aswell, but i will make a new one with only stones.

I cut them in the random length and put them in the vase to have easy acces while applying to the adhesive.

And than packaging in plastic so thou can show the present of before you give it to a loved one.
