Life is not always about butterflies and laughter. This is a reality I've come to understand more deeply as I grow older. The truth is that life can be unpredictable and, at times, overwhelming.
There are moments when everything seems to fall into place, and then there are times when it feels like the ground beneath you is shifting - that having a strong foundation becomes a powerful armor.
As I've watched myself grow, I've realized that life will always present challenges and try to knock you down. And it is not avoiding them but being equipped and ready to handle them. A strong foundation doesn't promise an easy life, but it gives you the confidence and resilience to keep moving forward, no matter what obstacles you encounter.
There is one person who significantly influenced me throughout these years of life, and that person is my mom. We consider her to be the wonder woman of our family, having all the strength and unwavering dedication to go through what life faces us. She has shaped so much of who I am today and has made an impact on my way of thinking and decision-making. And for me, she's not just my mother; she's a role model who guides us through the light and my constant source of inspiration that I will definitely treasure forever.
She has taught me how to be strong and wise in a world that can often be unforgiving and cruel at times, but I have to be prepared and ready to stand still against it all. She's guided me to become a better version of myself and to become a more resilient person. I can still remember how she emphasized that I should be a grown-up woman who can stand tall against the crowd and life's challenges.
I grew up determined not to depend on others, always striving to handle things on my own and find solutions to every challenge. Of course, there are times when I feel weak or overwhelmed, but in those moments, I turn to my mom's advice and her words of wisdom. They give me the strength to keep going and remind me that I’m capable of pushing through.
And that truly sums up the impact she has had on my life. The moment I read the questions for the Ladies of Hive Community Contest #222, I knew the answer without hesitation. My mom is the first person who has influenced, inspired, and guided me through every step of my journey in this lifetime.
