What I tell you is only the introduction to describe an event that we live at home that left us all very surprised.
To my parents some spiritual person told him that in our patio there was a botijuela, that is, a small box with money, or gold coins buried by black slaves by orders of their masters, who after burying the botijuela, sacrificed those slaves, leaving them vdiveness next to the money and in that way they secretly kept the location of the treasure.
On this subject there is a lot of oral infirmation, and the fact that human sacrifices will imply in some cases, gives it a very high mythological burden.Despite that, everyone wants to find a botijuela, for the riches it can contain.
At some point in the construction of our house, we need to make a very deep hole looking for water for a well, in the vicinity of that hole we begin to feel a very strong kind of energy.Those who were digging anything said about it but each one found an excuse to leave work and get away from that hole.I also felt it, it was a big fear, like a presence that threatened us and made us very alert, but well I already told them that at home we do not believe in superstitions and a few continued excavation work.

Pues resulta que yo no soy supersticiosa en ninguna manera, no creo recordar haber dejado de cruzar por debajo de una escalera, ni asustarme con un gato negro ni con un viernes 13, éstas son solo algunas supersticiones que se viven en mi país. Si de romper espejos se trata, creo que tengo ya acumuladas varias vidas de mala suerte jjj.
Esto que les cuento es solo la introducción para describirles un evento que vivimos en casa que nos dejó a todos muy sorprendidos.
A mis padres alguna persona espiritista le dijo que en nuestro patio había una botijuela, o sea una pequeña caja con dinero, o monedas de oro enterrada por negros esclavos por órdenes de sus amos, quienes despues de sepultar la botijuela, sacrificaban a aquellos esclavos, dejandolos sepultados junto al dinero y de esa forma mantenían en secreto la ubicación del tesoro.
Sobre este tema hay mucha infirmacion oral, y el hecho de que implicara en algunos casos sacrificios humanos, lo dota de una altísima carga mitológica. A pesar de eso, todo el mundo quiere encontrar una botijuela, por las riquezas que puede contener.
En algun momento de la construcción de nuestra casa, necesitamos hacer un hueco bien profundo buscando agua para un pozo, en las cercanía a ese hueco comenzamos a sentir una especie de energía muy fuerte. Los que estaban cavando nada dijeron al respecto pero cada uno fue encontrando una excusa para abandonar el trabajo y alejarse de aquel hueco. Yo tambiém lo senti, era un miedo grande, como una presencia que nos amenazaba y nos hacía estar muy alertas, pero bueno ya les conté que en casa no creemos en supersticiones y unos pocos continuaron las labores de excavación.
Justamente a los dos metros y medios aproximadamente, el chico que estaba sacando la tierra, soltó la pala y salió como un rayo de aquel hueco. Asustado dijo que le habían pegado en la cara con mucha fuerza. No pueden imaginar nuestras burlas y risas, mi hermano, bravucón por cuenta propia y con algunos tragos de ron en la sangre, tomó la pala y continuó prufundizando en el hueco, justo a la tercera pala de tierra que sacaba, gritó unas cuantas palabrotas y salió tembloroso, para no entrar en aquel hueco nunca más. Muy serio nos dijo a todos, como una orden: ese pozo se tapa ahora mismo, olvídense del maldito pozo.

No sé si por superstición, por temor o por cuál otra razón pero desde aquel día, nadie más se atrevió a abrir un hueco en nuestro patio. Y aunque somos gente de campo y muy apegados a las tradiciones de nuestra tierra, el tema de la botijuela es la unica superstición reconocida en toda la familia. Incluso en noches de luna nueva, cuando algun miembro de la familia o visitante, se aventura hacia el patio de la casa, regresa sobrecogido y declara haber sentido una presencia extraña y amenazante, como si algún ser oscuro y poderoso estuviera a punto de saltar sobre él.
