I have been very busy these past few weeks, because I was sewing bedsheets, pillowcases and sofa covers for my relatives and friends. I just rest today since I am still waiting for the other fabrics to arrive.
I just learned sewing when the pandemic started, because I got so bored when the Philippine government restricted people to go out of the house anytime we like. We are only allowed to go out three times a week, to get our basic needs. So I decided to buy a sewing machine and just watch Youtube tutorials on how to use it. After a few days, I tried sewing clothmasks and sold them online. I gained lots of buyers, because disposable masks were very expensive that time, so people preferred to use clothmasks. But when disposable masks were back to its cheaper price and more nice designs were already out in the market now, I then stopped selling.
Althougb I no longer sell clothmasks, I still sew. I made my own curtains, pillowcases, bedsheets and sofa covers. When I posted it all on Facebook, my cousins asked me to sew for them too. So it all started there.
At first, I was so hesitant because I doubt they will not like my DIYs, but they insisted. So, I accepted their offer. Until, they repeatedly want more. I thank God I have an extra income now while I am just at home taking care of my children.
