Boundaries are healthy lines you set for yourself to enable you stay put and calculative. I call it healthy lines because it's a line that helps you maintain your peace of mind and sanity when you are around people and when they are around you.

Why are boundaries so important? Without them, we risk burnout, resentment, and even losing our sense of self. When we allow others to constantly cross our lines, we create space for toxic relationships to thrive. Setting boundaries is not about being difficult; it's about honoring our own needs and creating space for healthy, respectful interactions."
Imagine a car without speed limit, a lot of things will go wrong both the driver, the car and others are in danger. Similarly any relationship with boundaries is in danger.
I was in a relationship with someone who doesn't respect boundaries, she would come around my home, walk into the kitchen and try dishing food for sell. She would ask me personal question that are related to myself and hubby(I mean our intimate life).

The relationship was becoming so unhealthy and exhausting for me so I set boundaries. I no longer entertain her visit, I don't share personal information with her.
She understood the message and so she respected my boundaries now we both enjoy a healthy relationship and respect for each other.
With that here are some boundaries that I feel should be uphold while in a relationship. This is just a few of them
1: respect each other physical space and comfort level.
2 : Avoid controlling or dismissing your partner's feelings.acknowledge and validate Thier emotions, even if you don't understand it.
3: Don't emotionally manipulate or guilt-trip your pattern
4: don't force anything just let it flow. Don't always try to be the bigger person in a relationship give same energy and vibes sometimes.
Setting boundaries is not selfish, it's essential! When we don't prioritize our own needs, we burn out. We lose ourselves in the process of trying to please everyone else.
Make a conscious effort to set boundaries that nourish our minds, bodies, and souls.
Boundaries are not walls, they are lines that protect and respect.
