The last flowers I received... was sent to me by a wonderful, wonderful lady, who has since crossed over to the other side. But the interesting thing isn't so much the flowers themselves, or even the lady who sent them to me. No. the interesting part of this tale is why she sent them to me.

Many consider it as an absurd detail: that flowers die, that it is superfluous, that it is a life (the life of the flower) wasted. It seems to me that this type of thinking is a bit limited, because in the end, many things lose their useful life with the passing of time. We ourselves. Besides, I think there is a lot of beauty and value in giving a detail like a flower. The gift has to please the recipient, not the giver.

In my family's tradition, we were all born and live in a small town in Venezuela, in the state of Táchira, called Táriba, where people with their faith oriented in the Catholic religion. Something that characterizes this city is the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolacion, a church that is an architectural jewel that has accompanied us for generations.

Although this week was not what I expected and I had to face some unexpected challenges, I also realized that I have a lot to be thankful for, because I have a family that, although they don't always think or act the way I would like, they are there for me.
