Belief in omens exists all over the world. While some are common in cultures, like black cats or shooting stars, others feel more personal. Have you experienced something that felt like a sign?
Although in my country there is freedom of religion, most people are tied to Catholicism or Protestant Christianity. However, syncretism exists, and many beliefs arose from the mixing of cultures, making the belief system a bit more complex. For example, many Catholics also believe in Santeria, which is a completely different religion. But even within this context, I decided many years ago to distance myself from any type of religion. I consider myself a non-believer, and being this way, I also don't believe in good or luck, curses, omens, or any of those things. I always try to find the most logical answer to any situation that seems mystical in origin.
However, there's one thing that's caught my attention for many years, and it could be considered an omen. I'm referring to the meaning of dreams. I haven't really read much about it, nor do I care to delve deeper into it than necessary. If it weren't for the fact that it happened to me directly, it wouldn't have interested me. In this sense, for a long time, I was a little afraid of the things I dreamed. For example, on more than one occasion, I dreamed that someone in the family died, and unfortunately, that's what happened. The coincidence of having dreamed that had a great impact on me. It seemed as if my brain somehow knew that something was going to happen and warned me through a dream.
I don't know to what extent human beings are aware of our own senses. Perhaps it could be that our bodies are better equipped than we imagine to perceive things before they happen, and that's why most people attribute it to something supernatural, like an omen. But I feel that even if I don't understand it or can explain it, there must be some kind of logical explanation for such an event.

La creencia en los presagios existe en todo el mundo. Mientras que algunos son comunes en culturas como los gatos negros o las estrellas fugaces, otras se sienten más personales. ¿Has experimentado algo que se sentía como una señal?
Aunque en mi país hay libertada de credo, la mayoría de las personas esta ligada al catolicismo o al cristianismo protestante, sin embargo existe el sincretismo y muchas creencias surgieron de la mezcla de culturas, haciendo un poco más complejo el sistema de creencias, por ejemplo muchas personas católicas creen igualmente en la santería que es una religión completamente diferente, pero incluso dentro de este contexto yo hace muchos años decidí alejarme de cualquier tipo de religión, me considero no creyente y ser de esta manera tampoco creo en la buena o la suerte, las maldiciones, los presagios o cualquiera de esas cosas, siempre trato de encontrar la respuesta mas lógica a cualquier situación que parezca de origen místico.
Sin embargo, hay una cosa que me llama la atención desde hace muchos años y se podría considerar como un presagio, me refiero al significado de los sueños, realmente no le he leído mucho ni tampoco me importa profundizar en ese más de lo necesario ene se tema, si no fuese porque me ha sucedido de manera directa no habría sido motivo de mi interés, en este sentido por mucho tiempo tuve un poco de miedo a las cosas que soñaba, por ejemplo en mas de una oportunidad soñé que alguien de la familia moría y lamentablemente eso sucedió, la coincidencia de haber soñado eso me causó gran impacto, pareciera que de algún modo mi cerebro supiera que so iba a pasar y me avisara por medio de un sueño.
No se hasta que nivel los seres humanos estamos conscientes de nuestros propios sentidos, quizá puede ser que nuestro cuerpo esta mejor equipado de lo que imaginamos para poder percibir cosas antes de que ocurran y por eso la mayoría de la gente lo atribuye a algo sobrenatural como un presagio, pero siento que aunque no lo entienda o pueda explicar si debe haber algún tipo de explicación lógica a tal suceso 😊
