It's been a while Ladies of Hive! It's Friday on my side of the world and I'm thinking about going out tomorrow, which is Saturday because it is a public holiday here. According to what I've heard, all public transportation will be free to access. The latest LOH topic coincides with this and thinking about @ifarmgirl's topics about Perfect Saturday, I am certain that my fellow bloggers could imagine what it would be like.
It is obvious in the blogs that I like traveling, photography, and I am a foodie. I enjoy spending time in nature because it allows me to unwind and let my thoughts rest. So when we talk about the ideal Saturday, if not food hunting in the city, it would either be hiking through nature, swimming on a beach, or island hopping.
Since my last hike, a lot more locations have been added to my list that I have yet to visit. I want to hike up the mountain, walk the trail, and spend some time relaxing and taking in the natural beauty. Summertime at this location, however, is not the best time to go hiking. Therefore, this will resume in the fall.
One of the best options, for now, is to go swimming at the beach which is the best place to beat the heat of summer before it ends. The photo below was taken on the island I visited recently. Unfortunately, I was unprepared that day so I wasn't able to go swimming.
Considering that tomorrow is a Saturday, I hope the weather is ideal so I can make the day perfect as well. There will be free transportation to any location in Hong Kong because, as was already mentioned above, it is a holiday here. I've been wanting to go to this particular island since last month when my friend sent me here photos taken on this island. I guess the ideal day to go is tomorrow.
There are things in mind I am planning to do on the island. I want to take the trail and get a better view of a well-known bridge from atop the hill. I would descend from the hill to what is known as Ghost Town and explore each abandoned house. From the Ghost Town, I would visit a building that resembles Noah's Ark, and I would find a good cafe to have my lunch. Food is always part of my traveling. The rest of the afternoon will be spent by the beach, perhaps, taking a dip in the chilly water. It will be great to bring some food and enjoy a quick picnic there. Lastly, I would wait for the sunset under the bridge overlooking the beach. It would be a perfect view!
Sounds perfect isn't it? I just hope that the weather will be fine so I could make these happen. Travel plus food to a place close to nature is what makes my weekend perfect!
What about yours ladies?
