1️⃣ Why do you think society places such a high value on beauty when it serves no functional purpose?
Beauty depends on the cultural legacy of where you grow up. It's different on every continent. However, in all eras, people with military and economic power have dictated rules in this regard to demonstrate supremacy over others, they change their appearance, manners, and customs to differentiate themselves.
Currently, the canons of beauty due to globalization have been horizontal trying to create a fictitious, worked, non-existent, and even impractical beauty, but very publicized and sold as "get it all", if you change your hair color, makeup, clothing, make body changes. There is little promotion of cultivation, personality, authentic personal style, good manners, and values so as not to dwell on how superfluous the pure image can be.
Supremacy over others
Understanding that society pushes us to be part of flocks busy with superficialities instead of being thinking entities, who think, choose, and exercise their free will costs a lot when from all fronts the tendency is to alienate the citizen to keep him occupied with irrelevant things.
You can appreciate beauty according to the criteria of everyone, knowing that it changes over the years, but I don't think it should be a sine qua nons paradigm to be happy.
The more I can silence the voices that are not mine, the more I will be able to understand myself and know what I really want to be, maybe a nature beauty in this whole world
2️⃣ What job would you be absolutely terrible at?
I admire people who embroider, knit, and do sewing is a manual art of living weaving, sewing, and creating with textiles dreams, ideas, and scenes (every day) of life itself. From the simplest, most elementary and even basic things can come the best ideas, the best moments and even the best designs.
I love it and I know the basics. Furthermore, I have two sewing machines, I mean, I've tried a lot. But I don't have the patience to undo it when I'm wrong, and I have to undo it.
The same happens to me with the iron, a shirt fits me perfectly, but it makes me more impatient.... he-he 😁 good evening gentlemen! And I stop ironing.
It seems to me also infamous to work as a condominium watchman, that job is (slave) because of always doing the same thing during 24-by-24h guards pending from all demanding owners. In addition, they have many bosses, those of their company and each one of the owners and condominium board must be very exhausting, and also is very poorly paid (remunerated).
And what about those who clean septic tanks?
Those are paid better and technology has advanced, but in places where there are latrines, the vacuum does not arrive, then? They do the work by hand, swimming in the excrement of others. Maximum is supported with bilge pumps! And obviously, he works this way out of necessity...then they get used to it and have no competition.
They could seal the well and make a new one, but now there are sanitary restrictions to stick to, and it comes out very expensive, so the trade does not die never.
As I always say, art and beauty are natural and they are everywhere... from the simplest and most unprepared to the created and produced... everything is art... and we all have free will and the power to choose.
