I just realized that I am gaming a lot and buying a lot of games and yet, I didn't use any of them for content. While I finished some of them, I think I want to play it again just to share and provide a history of me playing this game.
The first one in my list that I want to share is a building-survival game called, "Necesse." What made this stand out to me is that it's a game if you combine Rimworld, Diablo and Terraria.
Necesse is a game I got on steam on sale for around $7, where you can build your own settlement and town and take those settlers with you on your adventure. For now, let's have a first look on this early access game.

For this run, I just chose the most basic one, Classic, without any iterations. I like to do the normal level first because this is the ones where you can both be casual and try-hard.
I did get to create my own character which is fun and while the options are limited, I just hope that the equipments would change the look as well like in Terraria. I like games where if you equip a gold armor, you can see your own gold armor on your character so I hope this one is like that as well.

After creating your character, you will be thrown into the game with a minor tutorial. It's like Minecraft in a way. I don't think there's a story yet and for now, your goal is to simply survive.
I see a health bar up top so that means I can die in this game. Nice! There's also a food bar so this is more like Minecraft in that sense.
You also have a quick bar at the bottom with pre-made wooden items. "E" opens up inventory that in this type of games, will surely fill immediately. Top right is a minimap and "M" opens the whole map. For now, I'll use that location on the bottom right with the NPC to use as the temporary base.

I found a ladder down on that house and tried to go in and it's as dark as f***. I guess the first thing we need are some lights.

I gathered some saplings and wood by breaking trees on the overworld and used them as torches. Now, we can explore.

After gathering and crafting some weapons, I explored the cave. This game has enemies as expected and the one that greeted me is a skeleton archer. Using my new boomerang, I smashed this numbskull as I explore this cave further.

I found this weird stairs (not ladders) going down. So, let's check it out. Make sure to remove that very obvious pressure plate in front of the door before proceeding.

So, it seems like this stairs is a puzzle dungeon. You cannot destroy anything on this level. When you step on that brown pressure plate, the light on the upper right would go white. I think it shows the path that you can use to get to the other side and with those trap looking things on the wall, I'd say a wrong step may kill me.

The first part is easy. It took 2 tries but you actually have time to do it. Once you step in the gray pressure plate, the white guide on the right will start ticking down. This gives you limited time to finish the puzzle.

The second part of the puzzle is way harder and the tick down is way faster. I think it's unnecessary to point out but yeah, I died.

After taking a few more tries getting my item back, I'll leave it here for now and give an update after I get a good progress on the game. These types of games takes quite some time because you need to grind for items before exploring further just like in other games like Terraria.
So far, it's a good game. I see myself getting hooked on this one. I have yet to see the part where you can control NPC to join your team because this dude doesn't seem to want to go with me. For an early access, Necesse seems to be quite developed which is a surprise.
The price is worth it for the time I get for the game. It's a really interesting one and if you like base-building and survival games rolled into one, I suggest getting Necesse as it is still on sale for 35% right now on steam.
