Which decade do you love the most and why?
Definitivamente y sin titubear debo decir que me encantaron los años 80, fue mi época dorada, yo era una adolescente comenzando a vivir nuevas experiencias y tengo hermoso recuerdos de esa tapa de mi vida. La década de los 80 fueron años de excesos y de mucha prosperidad económica en Venezuela, recuerdo que mis padres me compraban todo lo que deseaba.
Definitely and without hesitation, I must say that I loved the 80s, it was my golden age, I was a teenager beginning to live new experiences and I have beautiful memories of that period of my life. The 80s were years of excesses and of great economic prosperity in Venezuela, I remember that my parents bought me everything I wanted.

This decade revolutionized fashion, we began to wear clothes with bright colors, large and very bright accessories, hairstyles with volume that did not go unnoticed, the bigger the better. I remember that I did not leave my house without shoulder pads, I even used them with flannels and I liked to attract attention with clothes of very bright colors, I loved fashion in neon colors, I had a skirt and blouse set that glowed in the dark. As my hair has always been very fine and straight, I convinced my parents to pay for a perm, I wanted my hair with a lot of volume and to be able to show it off at parties and discos.

Esta década revolucionó la moda, se comenzaron a utilizar prendas con colores llamativos, accesorios grandes y muy brillantes, peinados con mucho fijador que no pasaban desapercibidos, entre más grandes mejor. Recuerdo que yo no salía de mi casa sin hombreras, las utilizaba hasta con franelas y me gustaba llamar la atención con ropa de colores muy brillantes, amé la moda en colores neón, tenía un conjunto de falda y blusa que brillaba en la oscuridad. Como mi cabello siempre ha sido muy fino y lacio convencí a mis padres de pagarme una permanente, quería mi cabello con mucho volumen y poder lucirlo en las fiestas y discotecas.

En esos años cualquier excusa servía para organizar una fiesta, no podía faltar una minitk para amenizar y una bola disco. La década de los 80 revolucionó la música, fue el comienzo de la música electrónica y se popularizó el término “disco”. Se dieron a conocer artistas como Michael Jackson y Madonna, quienes se convirtieron en los reyes del pop. Yo amaba a Madonna, muchas veces traté imitarla y de vestirme como ella, era mi ídolo y compré todos sus discos, mi canción favorita era “material girl”.
In those years any excuse served to organize a party, you could not miss a disco party to dance under the disco ball. The 80s revolutionized music, it was the beginning of electronic music and the term "disco" became popular. Artists like Michael Jackson and Madonna became known, who became the king and queen of pop. I loved Madonna, many times I tried to imitate her and dress like her, she was my idol and I bought all her records, my favorite song was “material girl”.
I just have to tell you that I loved the 80s, and so far I can say that it was the best decade of my life, at 51 years old I still remember with nostalgia those years that marked and influenced my life.
Solo que me queda decirles que amé los 80, y hasta ahora puedo decir que fue la mejor década de mi vida, a mis 51 años todavía recuerdo con nostalgia eso años que marcaron e influyeron en mi vida.
