Saludos estimados amigos y amigas, hoy conocí esta dinámica por una publicación que vi de una amiga y me pareció bastante interesante el hecho de que, a veces estamos saturados de trabajo, de estrés emocional y/o mental que no nos tomamos el tiempo para nosotros, para evaluar nuestros sentimientos o situaciones. Y creo que estas preguntas, hacen evaluarnos un poco y dejar ver cómo nos sentimos, cosa que me parece beneficioso para cada una de nosotras.
Greetings, dear friends, I learned about this dynamic today through a post I saw from a friend, and I found it quite interesting. Sometimes we're so overwhelmed with work and emotional and/or mental stress that we don't take the time for ourselves, to evaluate our feelings or situations. I think these questions make us evaluate ourselves a little and let us see how we feel, which I think is beneficial for each of us.
Respecto a la primera pregunta: Si, el trabajo es fundamental para satisfacer nuestras necesidades económicas y asegurar una vida independiente, digámoslo así. Y sí, aunque a veces me siento bastante cansada, siempre hay un momento de distracción y relajación, que generalmente son los fines de semana. La verdad es que, al salir del trabajo por la tarde casi noche, algo que encuentro satisfactorio para mi actualmente es estar acostada en mi camita, arropada con una cobija y ver alguna serie o película, esto se ha vuelto un hábito entre mi pareja y yo. Es algo que me relaja y lo disfruto. También, tratamos de distraer la mente el fin de semana, saliendo con amigos a simplemente sentarnos y hablar, tomar algo o hacer alguna comida. Visitar un rato a mi mamá y hablar durante horas comiendo gelatina. A veces, por insignificantes que veamos las cosas, son esas cosas las que nos hacen del día uno bonito y relajante. Ahora que lo analizo. Por ahora, esas cosas son las que normalmente hago para variar la rutina. Siempre que está la oportunidad, salimos a alguna playa o a algún sitio diferente que requiera salir un poco del pueblo, para conocer. Estos son los planes que más me gustan aunque son un poco menos habituales que los otros dado que requieren de más presupuesto, pero siempre siempre, hago algo para distraerme.
Regarding the first question: Yes, work is essential to meeting our financial needs and ensuring an independent life, let's put it that way. And yes, although I sometimes feel quite tired, there's always a moment of distraction and relaxation, which usually falls on the weekends. The truth is, when I leave work in the afternoon, almost at night, something I find satisfying these days is lying in bed, wrapped in a blanket, and watching a series or movie. This has become a habit between my partner and me. It's something that relaxes me and I enjoy it. We also try to take our minds off things on the weekends by going out with friends to simply sit and talk, have a drink, or make a meal. We visit my mom for a while and talk for hours while eating Jell-O. Sometimes, no matter how insignificant things seem, it's those things that make our day beautiful and relaxing. Now that I think about it, for now, those are the things I normally do to vary our routine. Whenever we get the chance, we go to a beach or someplace different that requires getting out of town a bit, to explore. These are the plans I like the most, although they're a little less common than the others because they require a bigger budget, but I always do something to distract myself.

Por otro lado, respondiendo a la segunda interrogante: Hablando un poco de mi, siempre he sido una persona muy estructurada, por decir así. Necesito tener todo planificado y organizarme con todo porque de no ser así, la ansiedad me sobrepasa. Suelo pensar demasiado las cosas, repasarlas en mi mente y hasta crearme escenarios catastróficos. Por todo pienso y me estreso más de lo que una persona promedio lo haría, me preocupo por todo siempre y suelo ser también muy explosiva cuando algo me molesta o siento que ya no doy más. Ahora, me explicaron que mi elevado estrés por cualquier cosa y mi ansiedad constante por todo, estaban relacionadas directamente con el hipotiroidismo, ya que por el mismo descontrol hormonal, no se puede controlar la producción de cortisol, por ejemplo. Y también, mi doctora me dijo que debía evitar el estrés en lo posible y que yo misma me debía esforzar para no permitir que las cosas me estresaran demasiado. Entonces puedo decir, que previo a conocer estos detalles, solía enfrentar todo de una manera no tan conveniente, trabajar bajo estrés y vivir con la ansiedad de qué pasará, qué comeremos, qué haré, no me da tiempo, entre otras cosas. Ahora, he estado mucho más abierta a enfrentar las cosas más calmadamente y la verdad es que sí noto el cambio. Trato de no preocuparme tanto por las cosas, por la comida, las deudas, simplemente afrontando todo con más calma. Esto lo he logrado poco a poco con afirmaciones, meditación y tratando de llevar una alimentación saludable que me inciden directamente en el control de las hormonas.
On the other hand, answering the second question: Speaking a little about myself, I've always been a very structured person, so to speak. I need to have everything planned and organized because otherwise, anxiety overwhelms me. I tend to overthink things, going over them in my mind, and even creating catastrophic scenarios. I think about everything and get more stressed than the average person would, I worry about everything all the time, and I also tend to get very explosive when something bothers me or I feel like I can't take it anymore. Now, they explained to me that my high stress level and my constant anxiety about everything were directly related to hypothyroidism, since due to the same hormonal imbalance, cortisol production can't be controlled, for example. My doctor also told me that I should avoid stress as much as possible and that I should make an effort to not let things stress me out too much. So I can say that before knowing these details, I used to deal with everything in a less than convenient way, working under stress and living with anxiety about what will happen, what we will eat, what I will do, not having enough time, among other things. Now, I've been much more open to facing things more calmly, and the truth is, I do notice the change. I try not to worry so much about things, about food, about debts, simply by facing everything more calmly. I've achieved this little by little with affirmations, meditation, and trying to maintain a healthy diet, which directly impact my hormone control.

Hace poco, pasé por una experiencia bastante triste para mí, de la que ya he hablado en hive a modo de desahogo, tuve una pérdida gestacional de un bebé que deseaba mucho, por lo que hay días buenos y días no tan buenos. Días donde me siento positiva y de ánimo para pasear y tener buena cara y días donde mi estado de ánimo es bastante instrispectivo, triste y callado. Aunque todavía lloro por las noches o cuando algo me recuerda eso, el tema es que en esos momentos no nos queda más que afrontar las cosas con aceptación, porque aunque son dolorosas, son situaciones que muchas mujeres han pasado. Así que, eso también menha ayudado a tener mas aceptación por todo lo que uno pasa y tener la fé de que vendrán cosas buenas más adelante.
Me he sentido muy bien escribiendo estas palabras, aunque me siento expuesta, esto se ha vuelto un espacio seguro para hablar y expresarse sin dificultad, felíz día para todos!
Recently, I went through a rather sad experience, which I've already talked about on hive as a way of venting. I suffered a miscarriage of a baby I really wanted, so there are good days and not-so-good days. Days where I feel positive and up for walking and looking good, and days where my mood is rather introspective, sad, and quiet. Although I still cry at night or when something reminds me of that, the point is that in those moments, we have no choice but to face things with acceptance, because even though they are painful, they are situations that many women have gone through. So, that has also helped me to have more acceptance for everything one goes through and to have faith that good things will come later. I felt very good writing these words, even though I feel exposed. This has become a safe space to talk and express myself without difficulty. Happy day to everyone!
