Hello everyone,
To be honest these days I find peace in the little things life has been so full of stress and sometimes I just want to breathe and enjoy something that makes me smile so recently i have been discovering small favorite things to do that help me stay sane and happy.
One of my recent favorite things is listening to music before, I just played songs when I was cleaning or walking, but now, I actually sit down, close my eyes, and feel the music i mostly listen to soft Kpop songs, gospel music, and sometimes cool lofi beats it relaxes my mind and helps me forget my worries for a while.
Another thing i have been enjoying is watching K dramas and Webtoons i never thought I’d fall in love with them like this the stories are deep, emotional, funny, and sometimes even spiritual they talk about family, love, hard work, and dreams i feel connected to the characters, and sometimes I even cry or laugh out loud my recent favorite is true Beauty the Webtoon version and the drama the way it talks about self confidence and how people treat you based on your looks is something I really understand It’s like I’m learning while enjoying myself.
Also, i have started writing more. I used to write just for assignments or when I had to, but now I write to express myself. On Hive, I feel free to share my thoughts, my opinions, and even my pain writing helps me release what’s inside, and the support I get here gives me strength It has become one of my favorite things to do sometimes I wake up with an idea and quickly jot it down before I forget.
I also recently developed a habit of walking in the evenings. Just walking around my neighborhood, listening to music, or just observing people. It sounds simple, but it helps me clear my head. Nigeria is hot these days, so I go when the sun has gone down a bit. I greet neighbors, watch kids play, and just enjoy the air.
Lastly, have been spending more time talking to my kids i used to be so busy chasing work thinking of bills, and worrying about life that I didn’t realize I was missing precious moments now i ask them how their day went, we laugh together, and sometimes we dance around the house for no reason. It’s not just fun, it’s healing.
All these small things may not look big from the outside, but for me, they are the things keeping me together life is not easy, but when you find something that brings you joy even if it’s just for a few minutes, hold onto it.
So that’s my recent favorite things to do music, writing, walking, bonding with my children, and enjoying Korean content they are helping me stay strong and feel alive.
