Hello hiveans. Hope all are doing good.
I want to share my bangel collection with you all. I collected them in all shapes and sizes and hung them in my dressing table.
In local language it is called kangan, kada, chudi, chuda, bangadi etc.
They are made up of glass, precious stones, clays, shells, woods, and coppers, gold, silver, bronze.
This is my marriage pic when I am wearing full set of handmade lac chuda.
Each bangles represents the culture and tradition of the region.
It is a tradition to wear bangles after marriage, symbolizing health, luck and prosperity. It also signify the long life of the husband. It is a part of the solah shringar of Indian brides.
For Indian women's bangles are not just mere ornaments. They love their bangles. They are part of their identity. It is considered inauspicious to be bare handed if a women is married.
Normal lac is pasted thickly on on a wooden rod and rolled over a flat surface to make it into a cylindrical shape and this lac is heated slowly over the coal burner.
Here are some bangles, I bought from rajasthan this year.
Whenever you come to India, ladies of Hive, enhance your beauty wearing stylish and beautiful bangles...😊
