Lately, one of the things that brings me real joy is watching K-dramas(korean movies) and editing short videos from my phone. I know it may sound simple or even boring to some people, but trust me, these two things have become my recent favorite things to do especially after a long and stressful day.
I used to be someone that didn't really sit to watch any series or drama, but one day I was bored and a friend introduced me to a Korean drama. At first I wasn't really paying attention, but after a few scenes, I was glued! The way their stories are told, their emotions, the beautiful sceneries, and their calm way of speaking just gave me peace. Now, I always look forward to watching at least one or two episodes every evening before bed.
Apart from that, another thing I’ve fallen in love with recently is video editing. I’ve always been interested in creativity, but I never really thought video editing could be so enjoyable. I started by playing around with CapCut and Premiere Rush on my phone. At first, I was just trying to cut clips and add songs, but then I started learning transitions, effects, adding subtitles, and even creating storylines. I now find myself spending hours just creating short videos, adding text overlays, and matching visuals with sound. Sometimes I use my own pictures and voiceovers too. It’s so satisfying when the final result looks beautiful. 😍
The best part is when someone tells me “Wow! You edited this? It’s nice!” I feel proud of myself. It pushes me to learn more and even consider doing it professionally someday. Even though it’s still just a hobby, I see how much joy and peace it brings to me.
These two hobbies may not seem like a big deal, but for someone like me who always have a busy mind, they give me something to look forward to. They help me relax and forget the stress of adult life, bills, hustle and all the responsibilities I carry.
Sometimes, just lying on my bed with my fan blowing, earphones in my ear, and editing a short clip or watching my favorite K-drama is enough to make me smile again.
So yes, if you ask me today, “What’s your most recent favorite thing to do?”
I’ll smile and say: K-dramas and video editing are my new happy places.
Thanks for stopping by and reading my post
With Love🧡🩷❤️
