Greetings to all, in this beautiful Ladies of Hive Community. Heeding the call of this contest number 188, today I return to participate. Here I share this week's invitation. Thank you @merit.ahama for these great questions!
This time I will answer the second question of the contest: How do people see you? How do you wish people saw you?
This is a somewhat complex question, since it is difficult to be in the heads of others to know what they think about me. However, from certain attitudes of certain people I can infer how they perceive me or what they think of me, and I believe that they do not always have a real perception of who I am, but rather they have a very distorted image, of course, this does not always happen, but it does. I have seen it in the real world and in the virtual world as well. On the other hand, some people may have a perception of me based on comments, gossip or opinions of third parties, so there is no objectivity in this, and it may be far from close to who I really am.
We must start from the fact that human beings are the sum of many things, however, if there is something that defines people, it is facts. Deeds are much more important than words, because they are the palpable and real sample of who you are. It is not coherent to say or shout that you love someone, and you do not do something for their well-being. I have seen this many times, especially in mothers, who say they love their children, and do not care for or protect them. Or also in men who claim to be honest, but their dishonesty begins when they cheat on their wives, or stop paying their bills, or seek to make the most of it by violating the rights of others... That is why I start from two premises, the first is summarized in a maxim in Latin, and the second in a proverb of German origin, and these are:
Facta, non verba (facts, not words).
Tell me what you proclaim and I will tell you what you lack.
I think that a person who lives a large part of the time, boasting about what gives, or that is a good person, that is generous, gentle, humane and blah blah blah, deep down is a very bad person, is mean, evil , unpleasant, selfish and without compassion, and this can be proven in their actions... and the constant self-promotion by saying how super wonderful they are, is more to convince others and give an unrealistic image of what they really are, are incoherent and false. Let us remember the words of Jesus of Nazareth, compiled in the Bible, (Matthew 6: 3-5):
Based on the above, I avoid praising myself as much as possible, or as the saying goes: “Put my foot out and rock me”, because I know who I am, I know what my virtues, my defects, my limitations, and my potentialities, and I know very well that I am not perfect; but it is not my job to tell others: “Hey, I am such and such,” no, that depends on other people, not on me.
A few days ago I saw a post on Instagram (I don't remember the account, it was by chance that I read it), which said something like this: “People create an opinion about you, and this is a product of the perception that they have you. It is as if they made a drawing of you, that drawing represents how they see you, but that drawing is not you.” It seemed like a very valid reasoning to me, since people perceive and create an opinion of others that is often unobjective, biased, distorted, and to make matters worse, they can dedicate a large part of their time and energy to intrigue in your against, slandering and defaming you before others, I have already seen that. Anyway, there is something very true, summarized in another saying: “Sow storms and you will reap storms.” Ah well, I imagine these defamers and slanderers in the present and in the future...
I also do not agree with what is known as Mirror Law, according to which others are a reflection of you; well, I think that it does not explain all the circumstances of life (positive and negative), nor does it explain the fact that you encounter bad, slanderous and obsessive people along the way, because that is another point, and as I said in the previous paragraph, there are people who insist on harming, harming and annihilating others for the sheer pleasure of it. Fortunately, God is always present, and even when free will exists, He sets limits on these evil beings. Life is not an absolute, there are always nuances, and there are many physical and spiritual laws that can explain life experience. So, in my opinion, it is a mistake to assume that the good and bad in your life obeys only destiny or that you are to blame for your world not being as beautiful and harmonious as you would like it to be, or that people perceive you in this or that way. As far as I can conclude by saying, the opinion that others have of me is something of theirs, it is not something of mine. Yes, I would like it to be an objective opinion, but it is not always that way.

En esta ocasión responderé la segunda pregunta del concurso: ¿Cómo te ve la gente? ¿Cómo te gustaría que la gente te viera?
Esta es una pregunta algo compleja, ya que es difícil estar en la cabeza de los otros para saber qué piensan respecto a mí. Sin embargo, por ciertas actitudes de ciertas personas puedo inferir cómo me perciben o qué piensan de mí, y creo que no siempre tienen una percepción real de quien soy, sino que tienen una imagen muy distorsionada, claro, esto no siempre ocurre, pero lo he visto en el mundo real y en el virtual también. Por otra parte, algunas personas pueden tener una percepción de mí por los comentarios, chismes u opiniones de terceros, por lo que no hay objetividad alguna en esto, y puede distar mucho de acercarse a quién soy realmente.
Hay que partir del hecho, de que los seres humanos somos la suma de muchas cosas, no obstante, si hay algo que define a las personas, son los hechos. Los hechos son mucho más importantes que las palabras, porque son la muestra palpable y real de quién eres. No es coherente decir o vociferar que amas a alguien, y no haces algo por su bienestar. Esto lo he visto muchas veces, especialmente en madres, que dicen amar a sus hijos, y no los cuidan ni los protegen. O también en hombres que dicen ser honestos, pero su deshonestidad comienza cuando engañan a sus esposas, o dejan de pagar sus cuentas, o buscan sacar el máximo provecho vulnerando los derechos de los demás… Por eso yo parto de dos premisas, la primera se resume en una máxima en latín, y la segunda en un refrán de origen alemán, y estas son:
Facta, non verba (hechos, no palabras).
Dime de qué pregonas y te diré de qué careces.
Pienso que una persona que viva gran parte de su tiempo, alardeando de lo que da, o de que es buena persona, de que es generosa, gentil, humana y bla bla bla, en el fondo es muy mala persona, es mezquina, malvada, desagradable, egoísta y sin compasión, y esto puede ser comprobado en sus acciones… y la constante autopromoción al decir lo súper maravillosos que son, es más para convencer a los demás y dar una imagen poco real de lo que realmente son, o sea, son incoherentes y falsos. Recordemos las palabras de Jesús de Nazaret, recopiladas en la Biblia, (Mateo 6: 3-5):
En base a lo anterior, evito al máximo el auto alabarme, o como dice el refrán: “Sacar la pata y mecerme”, porque yo sé quién soy, sé cuáles son mis virtudes, mis defectos, mis limitaciones, y mis potencialidades, y sé muy bien que no soy perfecta; pero no es mi trabajo decir a otros: “Oye, yo soy tal y cual cosa”, no, eso depende de las otras personas, no de mí.
Hace pocos días vi una publicación en Instagram (no recuerdo la cuenta, fue de manera aleatoria que la leí), que decía algo como esto: “Las personas se crean de ti una opinión, y esto es producto de la percepción que ellas tienen de tí. Es como si ellos hicieran un dibujo de ti, ese dibujo representa el cómo ellos te ven, pero ese dibujo no eres tú.” Me pareció un razonamiento muy válido, pues la gente percibe y se crea una opinión de los otros muchas veces poco objetiva, sesgada, distorsionada, y para más INRI, pueden dedicar gran parte de su tiempo y energía a intrigar en tu contra, calumniándote y difamándote ante los demás, eso ya lo he visto. De todos modos, hay algo muy cierto, resumido en otro refrán: “Siembra tormentas y cosecharás tempestades.” Ah bueno, me imagino a estos difamadores y calumniadores en el presente y en el futuro…
Tampoco estoy de acuerdo con lo que se conoce como Ley del Espejo, según la cual los otros son un reflejo de ti; pues creo que no explica todas las circunstancias de la vida (positivas y negativas), ni tampoco el que te consigas en el camino gente mala, calumniadora y de paso obsesiva, porque eso es otro punto, y como dije en el párrafo anterior, hay gente que se empeña en dañar, perjudicar y aniquilar a los demás por puro gusto. Afortunadamente siempre está Dios presente, y aun cuando existe libre albedrío, les pone límite a esos seres malvados. La vida no es un absoluto, siempre hay matices, y hay muchas leyes físicas y espirituales que pueden explicar la experiencia vital. Así que, a mi entender, es un error asumir que lo bueno y malo de tu vida, obedece sólo al destino o a que tú eres el culpable de que tu mundo no sea tan bonito y armonioso como quisieras que fuese, o de que la gente te perciba de tal o cual forma. Por lo que puedo concluir diciendo, la opinión que los demás tienen de mí, es algo de ellos, no es algo mío. Sí me gustaría que fuese una opinión objetiva, pero no siempre lo es.
