Hola! 👋Good day folks! of ladies of hive💐. it's me @vennesa. It's my first time to join the contest and I would love to answer question No. 2
"If you instantly master one skill but forget one you already know, what would you chose?”
If I instantly master one skill, it would be the communication skill. But to forget one which I already knew, it would be the drawing skill
Communication skill
The reason why I wanted to master this skill was for my future career. Currently I was taking a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and having a good communication showed significance in the field of hospitality industry. You will face the guests, with a smile on your faces consistenly but as a shy type person, as an introvert, I think I can't face these people. Though I could say that my communication improved atleast, but still not enough. My braveness is not enough to face various of faces in a day. Sometimes I felt like, I mistakenly took this program and sometimes I felt like, I'm in the right track. For the reason of being introvert, I can't communicate with others. And when I felt awkwardness, it really showed in my face especially when I smile, it really reflect. I'm also not good at faking emotions, that's one thing about me. Though a lot of people like my smile, but I looked mean when not smiling. And when I smile, they was like, " I like your smile Vennesa" "girl, always smile, it's beautiful". But as I've mentioned, I'm not good at faking emotions, When I'm not in the mood to smile, I won't smile. I'm not jolly, cheerful, nor miserable. What I mean was, when having a communication to guest, not only to guests but to the people around you, your not only exchanging thoughts, ideas but you also adopt on their feelings And having good communication towards these individuals is very crucial. And for my future career as an interns, I must excel on it. That's why I'm eager to instantly master this skill. Now I'm still improving and I'm hoping soon I will master it as it will really help me not only for my internship, but for myself as well.
Drawing skill
To excel in communication skill, I'm willing to disregard the drawing skill which I have since elementary. On my elementary days, I always come up late, and there this one time, my teacher gave us a poject that must be submitted on that day and this project is to draw a bird that was in the book. I just draw, thats all I did and my teacher really appreciated it and she's amazed with my drawing. My teacher was like "You have talent in drawing vennesa, your very good at it, but your'e always come up late. Next time, don't be late ok? But your really good at drawing keep it up". I was honestly happy for her compliment but to not be late? I'm not sure of it 😂. It continued until college, We have this "art appreciation" course, where drawing and painting are involved. I always get the best scores and I'm glad for it. To let you know, I'm not a pro, I'm not a professional artist, I'm just a person that can draw, that's it. And it's not my hobby to draw, I just draw as a requirement in a subject, please don't judge my drawings. 😊
I'm just happy to have this talent but in todays digital age where digital tools rises, AI exist, and because this skill doesn't align with my future profession, I think I don't need this anymore. While communication skill align and showed significance in the field of my future career, I'm willing to disregard the skill of drawing.
