On beach trips, I can't help but grab my camera and take lots of photos of the scenery, especially during sunset!
One of the joys of taking photos is romanticizing what most people see as mundane. Personally, I enjoy capturing people in their most candid moments.
While taking a stroll on the beach, I came across two local kids enjoying the sea as if there were no tomorrow. When they saw me with my digital camera, they even asked me to take another photo of them! To my surprise, they remembered me and greeted me when they saw me again on the beach the next day.
I wandered farther along the shore, taking my time and savoring every moment I stepped on the white, powdery sand. As I walked, I realized how lucky I am to witness such breathtaking scenery.
Along the way, I found the perfect spot for a self-portrait. Although it only shows my silhouette, I prefer it that way. I wasn't exactly camera-ready.
This was such a soothing activity for me: being able to enjoy my passion for photography, and in a way, meditate through the beauty of the scenery. In that moment, I was reminded of many things. One of them was to embrace slow days and capture them as much as possible, for memory’s sake.
