MY FIRST EXPIRENCES WITH TRAIN!
It has always been something I do see on movies or hear people talk about it but has never ocour to me I will be taking train, not like it's a bad thing but I have never thought of it or anything like that not until Abuja and NYSC came to the list.
Coming out from camp with all the stress, I had to be moving straight to Abuja for my relocation documentations
First of all, the plan was to take flight but my lodgages won't permit, and so rushing back to the train station only to find out the train as left and it only moves once a day OMG! I was almost freezing, I had to rush back to take a normal company vehicle only to find out it's late for that since it was already approching 1:00pm, I know I have briefly talked about this story here on my other post before, so let's get straight to the expirences.
I had to Lodge in Spring garden hotels which was a very terrible experience, and meet up with the train the next day. when I got to the train station, it was filled with hundreds of people OMG! well it's very possible I mean train is always long enough to occupy all of us and so I wasn't bodered at all.
I already got someone's number who works there the day I was stranded and so getting to the train station was like just waiting to get my ticket from the guy and not thinking of waiting on a queue of hundreds of people crazy. I was lucky I swear, the crowd was much.
Finally, the guy came out to give me my ticket, also helped me carry in my lodgages, they where pretty much and I didn't take any pictures except for my portable box.
The journey was quite something because we had to stop at every train station to drop people off before moving again, At first I thought everyone was going towards the same direction, some people where drop off before there intended destination when they found out these guys didn't have any tickets with them, I mean how did they get there? I believe they didn't have the money to pay, and it's a very big pitty, but people have mine Sha!
I didn't carry food and along the line I was kinda hungry, but had to take off my mine so I don't get myself hurt the more you know!
I was a little presed so I had to take the train restroom and it wasn't that clean but still, I had to take some pictures to share with you all, I mean I'm a writer so we take details of every thing we expirences so we can talk about them, and share the experience with people so they know when they try to get involve with such.
Well finally, they didn't drop me off Abuja, it was somewhere close to kogi state, and i has to take another vehicle going straight to Abuja from there, it was a very long journey, if not the longest of my life, but in all, I arrived safely and that's all that count if I'm correct.
Here is the last train stop, and everyone left inside had to come outside with their lodgages, I had to pay two guys to help me carry my lodgages to where I took a vehicle going straight to Abuja!
Getting to Abuja was in the night, and I had to pay the guy extra cash to take me straight to a nearby hotel so I could Lodge since it was already late, and I had so many luggages I didn't want him to drop me off while struggling to look for another vehicle, besides I'm new and I don't know anywhere or anything, so being very careful was the best thing I could help myself with at that very moment.
My experience with the hotel is a story for another day, so I didn't take much details of the hotel since I had to be going to the secretariat for documentation the next day, and I was so tired that night, that I just had to go straight to bed after they brought my food I ordered for, still there is always a story to tell, so that experience will be another day's post.
Now I can say I'm kinda getting used to this new environment, and also before I will stay here for a month or so trust me, I will have a lot to write about here hopefully!
