Hello, friends,
Has this occurred to you? 🤔
‘The problem is not as if I don’t know what to say, oh, but the moment I open my mouth to speak, I can’t fit what to say. ‘
As much as this may sound funny, it is the reality for some people. They have beautiful vibes, brilliant ideas well arranged in their heads, but putting the words together to make sense poses a big problem.
Let me remind you again: this isn’t a courtroom. It is a learning space. We don't just point out the problem; we see how we can offer a solution.
Apart from spelling problems, the issue most users of the English language have is a problem with tenses: not knowing when to use verbs, unsure about when it should be a present or a past tense.
Finding it difficult to know which verbs remain the same in the past tense or past participle, which ones change or take a completely different form.
This week, we shall be dealing with tenses, their meanings, and forms. We will look at everyday words and their usage at different times.
Get your mind prepared for what is coming. It may be a long series of lessons. The goal is to have writers and communicators who are confident when they write or speak.
Believe it or not, some forms of low self-esteem and ‘introversion’ are a result of not knowing the right things to say. So, instead of feeling embarrassed, you prefer to keep to yourself, even though your idea could save the world. You’d prefer to perish rather than speak.
I’m happy to tell you to bid goodbye to that era. We’re in this together. Learn with me.
See you in class.
