I love music.
There are times when I am low, and nothing else can permeate my protective shield, except music. Why does adding a melody, rhythm, and instrumentation to words - change the impact on your soul?? I do not understand the beauty and the mystery of it all, I simply appreciate it for what it is and bask in the metamorphosis!

For weeks on end now, I've seen people sharing their hearts through song. Sometimes, it surprises me to see how my impression of someone is so DIFFERENT from their taste in music (see: @blackdaisyft 😁 Her sweet innocent looking self, and her gentle spirit - jumping into a mosh pit??? LOL)
Sometimes, it surprises me how a random comment in a conversation made a deeper impact that I realized when I see a special song shared on #ttt a few days later (see: @penderis - you actually do listen to me? hehehe)
Lately, I've been sending BLOCKS of music to share with @samsmith1971 and it has become SUCH a special time for me - because music really does reveal something deeper about you, doesn't it?
On average, a song has 3 minutes to accomplish the task of leaving an indelible mark on your spirit and altering your life. It doesn't have to be a permanent change - but it needs to shift your world, just a bit, for just a few beautiful moments.
Often, it so does for me.
...So! 😁 I will be losing my #ttt virginity to these three special songs. LOL Hope you enjoy them with me!
Let's start with Masters of Lyrics and Harmony: Penny and Sparrow. I'm SURE that if I do this every week - I will choose at least one song from them EVERY week. They are so special to my family! I have said it before and I'll say it again - someday, I will hire them to do a private concert for me and some friends! And I will just enjoy being in their presence, and beg them to just hang out all day! LOL Their voices are gorgeous, their souls are magnetic - and they are just the kind of people you want to gravitate towards indefinitely!
- I have THE funniest story to share about them from a concert where they singled out my husband, and HIM (alone!!! lol) for about 4 songs!! (It was HILARIOUS - AND we re-watch the videos of that epic memory SO OFTEN) - but that's for another post, another time. 😂
I want to share EVERY song of theirs - one after the other!! But I can only choose one!!! And the FIRST one of my FIRST #TTT post has to be the RIGHT ONE. gahhhhhhhh. I'm sure tomorrow I would choose differently!!! But today... it is...
Alabama Haint

This song is everything.
The rhythm is so sensual, the way that the words play Hide and Seek between the beats, the way he sings "mmmmm" as if he is remembering how sweet her lips once tasted.
When he's looking at her, and her sundress starts to cling due to what is almost certainly the sultry humid heat of the South, he says "Color me turned on." Honestly! Can't you just FEEL THAT? hehe
And like all good lost-love songs, it's just hauntingly bittersweet. He tells her, she was "like lightning", she was "the turn of the century", and then realizing too late, he looks back, recognizing that she was "the reason that he woke up".
But she's gone. She's an "Alabama Haint".
And... 100 @ecency points for whoever can explain EXACTLY the nuance of what those two words mean... Best answer in the comment section wins! hehehe
Before I continue with the next song - you might be wondering "Dreem, what the heck IS this #TTT?? Well - it stands for Three Tune Tuesday, and...
In the words of the founder of this community, @ablaze,
- Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #ttt or #threetunetuesday tags that would be great. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.
So, let's move onto song #2!
These two are SO high up on the list. However, they are no longer together!!! gahhh. So so very sad. Because their music was magical. A lot of people wonder if they had an affair (they were both married to other people) and perhaps because of that - just couldn't continue together. When you see them singing together, you might wonder if there was something extra there, too! hahaha
Their chemistry is SO palpable!!! But... I'm a singer. I have sung with partners that I have been SO incredibly connected with. With one in particular, we could almost telepathically communicate the song's direction without missing a beat! Our voices would effortlessly tangle together, melting into the easiest, harmonious fluidity. We were best friends, but just singing partners - that's all.
When you see the video, often people will say "But look at the way she stares at him. Look at the way he smiles at her." hehehe Well, often (not always) people who sing harmony tend to stare at the face of their partner. They watch everything -the chest rising, the mouth, the way the expression might subtly indicate an upcoming change - so the "harmonizer" can match power, emotion and melodic shifts with their partner. It's not being in love with the person, it's being in love with the musical chemistry. So, I will contend that this incredible duo were also doing the same, and defend their special relationship as music only. Were they? meh. Watch the video and decide for yourself. 😁
I give you...
The Civil Wars

This is "20 years"
Love the concept of this song. Again, haunting. hehehe It's about a note under the door - written 20 years prior. Someone needing redemption for a mistake made. They've waited 20 years to make it right, but they're prepared to wait 20 more. hmmm gotta love LOVE, in all its flawed forms!
By the way, I saw these two in concert also. So glad that I had that experience before they broke up the band! Because though they are incredible recorded, they are unbelievably PERFECT in concert.
Finally, my third selection.
NOT another duo, haha but INCREDIBLE HARMONIES.
This is the kind of music that makes you want to go on a road trip! Sunny day, long roads, windows down, and just SING.
Incidentally - when I FIRST saw this band - they were opening for The Civil Wars! hahaha They were PHENOMENAL!!! I had never seen a band open for the main concert that was actually JUST as entertaining!
I won't say much more - this post is already ridiculously long-winded. hehe But here is...
MILO GREEN

This song is "1957"
You know the feeling associated with old photo albums? The pictures have faded under a soft yellow glow that bathes precious moments in a delicious, golden light. We can never quite recapture the essence of those memories. Though just beyond our grasp, we never stop reaching out to recall, relive, remember and relish.
This song is all that and more.
You should join in with Three Tune Tuesday next week! We would love to get to know more about you through your music style! I bet there is something hidden there for us to discover! Thank you @tengolotodo for being my inspiration to join in this week! hehehe And I see you tagged @juliamulcahy??? Will we hear from her next week?? I hope so! hehehe
