The New Year is a time to set new goals and reflect on the past year's achievements. Our community experienced many exciting developments in 2023 with the help of our hard-working developers. We have even more plans for 2024. While we are part of a decentralized blockchain and we are all a big community, you are an essential part of these changes. Stay engaged and be part of our discoveries and development.
Now let's review our monthly report for 2023:
January.
At the beginning of the year, there was a focus on Hive Engine tokens with the Ecency mobile app, providing flexibility and ease of use. At the same time improve performance of the wallet page in the mobile app. Another focus was the premium account offers an easy start for newcomers with 3 times the RC and 300 Ecency points as a starter gift.

February.
RC delegations were one of the most requested features by our community. We have added an RC details page so you can stay informed about the state of your RC, including the ability to delegate RC and check your existing delegations. Additionally, an RC indicator has been included for when you comment or publish a post, allowing you to know if you have enough RC to make your comment easily, just hover under the editor and know state of your RC.
A New Advanced Trading page for those who like trading just like on a Binance trading page was also included in that release.

May.
One of the major releases that took 2 months was in May which was about the Decks and Waves page as well as the Floating FAQ

Decks page helps organize and manage communities, stay in touch with favorite authors, and engage with your audience in a super easy and simple way. We were inspired by tweetdeck and built the same on Hive.
We had been planning to create short form content creation, we named it Waves. It was one of the features we had been eagerly anticipating made available in this release.
Floating FAQ is a helpful tool designed to assist and support new users as they navigate various functions and features on each page, offering helpful suggestions.

The next release improved the Mobile App wallet page with the management of SPK and LARYNX tokens and engine token history.

July.
You can assist your friend with signing up for Ecency. They can start the process and you can take care of the rest. A new feature called Onboarding a Friend was introduced in the July release. Additionally, the Decks page has been enhanced to provide more convenience.

August.
August release on Ecency allowed you to upload and manage videos on Ecency powered by 3Speak. Thanks to the 3Speak team and their efforts to open doors and bring this into the wider community.

September.
While creating short-form content was quite popular among Hivers, Ecency made it easier with the ability to create it through our mobile app. It has been 4 months since Waves has become very popular among short content enthusiasts, who create short posts and share various forms of multimedia content, including photographs, gifs, and emojis.
The release also included the ability for users to exchange their HIVE to HBD or HBD to HIVE directly from the market right from the mobile app wallet page. No need to wait 3.5 days until your Hive or HBD is converted or no more complicated trading platform, single, instant swap under your fingertips.

October.
After the Website update in October, you can use your Resource Credits (RC) to bring your friend on board if you have enough of them. There is a new addition called "Claim Account Credits" when you click on your "Resource Credits", if you have enough RC, you will be able to claim account credits right away. You can use those account credits to onboard a friend and family member easily.

November.
In November the website underwent a significant update, removing the large Bootstrap library and replacing it with the more efficient and compact Tailwind library. This change improved the website's loading speed and enabled the creation of smaller, more manageable components for long-term maintenance.

December.
December was a very busy month with our annual Advent Calendar, which spread great Christmas spirit among users by awarding them with Ecency points and Hives.
In 2024, we have decided to focus more on onboarding, marketing and explore alternative revenue streams, decrease server costs.
