Hi everyone, this will be a unusual post. But I just logged on my tablet (where I am writting this post from), which is a Samsung Galaxy Tablet, and where I also have my Hive Keychain installed, and I decided to log via a super mega secure way...
HiveAuth
The experience was ALMOST FLAWLESS! - given me knowing a bit more how these things work...
But in a nutshell I have first opened a two window on android (because I know android make apps go to sleep), and the loaded on the first window my Hive Keychain app... then I just opened Ecency on the second window (note, the reason I do this is to maintain both apps/windows live), then I typed my username, then clicked on the HiveAuth option (obviously I had already my Hive Keychain with my user keys on it, aka same tablet), and then the Hive Keychain app gets invoked and I have to choose for how long I want the authorization to be living.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you switch apps, the authorization can go to "sleep" on tablets, and then (depending on a number of OSes and/or configurations of security of your tablet) the icon can go "red" meaning it "disconnected" and your requests will eventually fail. So, its important to remmeber that your HiveAuth needs to be "Green" while you are trying to broadcast things, otherwise it will fail.
I made my choice and then had to re-select (or bring forward) the Ecency app (which in my case, because I have two windows open, it just shows and I have to do nothing, but others might need to re-select it). And after a second or two, it said, "Successfully loged in"....
I was preplexed...
This is the kind of experience new users need. Everyone should be enabling HiveAuth on their apps. This makes the experience sooooo much more natural, secure, and to be honest, totally customizable given that Hive Keychain already allows you to choose your nodes and on top of that a bunch of features to make your life easier.
Before I post this...
Let me record it with a picture, so you get a better idea of my hype!
I know that because of the "many devices" and types of OSes that exist on the world this feedback experience might be different. But Man... Its worked!!! For me... and I can prove it in front of anyone!
