Soybean, my sis's dog - 07042025
About six months left
The veterinarian shared the news that she has about six months to live due to an enlarged heart, and she's currently on cardiotonic medications. I'm really hoping she enjoys the time she has left. Today, I went for a walk feeling pretty good, but I couldn't help wondering if that six-month estimate is accurate. It’s been extremely hot during the day lately, so my mom takes her for morning walks while I take out at night. It makes me think about how I would spend my days if I knew I only had half a year to live. I’m proud to say I’ve lived my life without regrets, but I do sometimes wish I had raised children. I have a feeling that as I grow older, I’ll find myself reflecting on that choice more and more. Still, taking evening strolls with this little guy in the warm tropical nights has become such a special time for me.
「あと、半年ぐらいの寿命でしょうか」と獣医に言われたらしい。 心臓肥大を患い、強心剤を服用しながら過ごしている。 余生は楽しく過ごして欲しい。本当に半年の寿命なのかなぁと元気に今日も散歩に行ってきた。 この頃は日中は恐ろしいほど暑いので、散歩は朝がオカンが行い、夜の散歩は私がするようにしている。 「あと半年の寿命です」と言われたらどの様な時間の過ごし方をしりだろうか。 結構、後悔なく過ごせてきていると自負している。 ただ、子供を育てなかったのは今では後悔し、きっと死ぬ前に子供を育てた人生をおもい描きながら死ぬのだろうと感じている。 熱帯夜の中のこの子との散歩は思い出深い時間になっている。
