Make Yourself Uncomfortable (on Hive!) .:. Hive Humpday Hangout Ep....

The last week's show was probably one of the best ones EVER! It wasn't the most visited show, but it was the best because we had a record number of people on the mic and this show is all about that! Sharing experiences, sharing spaces, sharing ideas, motivating and inspiring each other... And we had it all last week! The idea for the last week was to share our "out of the comfort zone" experiences, and I had an idea to split that topic into 3 parts... We did cover 2 parts, but we stayed without time to do the last part, so we will focus on that in this show! So, remind yourself about your beginnings on HIVE, what you did, and how you did it... After that, move fast forward to the present and think about how you are doing things NOW... Is there a difference? Did you step out of your comfort zone and do something that you didn't think that you would ever do?

I have shared #MyHiveStory multiple times and some of you heard it a few times, but I have to do it again (sorry 🙂)... I wasn't a social media person at all... I did have (and still have) a Facebook account, and a Twitter account (pardon X) for almost 15 years, but I'm not using them regularly... I came to this chain because of Spliterlands and the idea of earning money by playing games was exciting... I had some experience with similar games before the cryptocurrency era, but most of them died... In the moments when I discovered Splinterlands, I didn't even have an idea that this chain was actually a blogging platform!

When I did notice that part, I got caught by those numbers under the posts... It was January 2019 and the crypto wasn't on the best days... 😃 As I was paying people to write posts for my websites, I hesitated a lot before I began to write on my blog... I thought that my English wasn't good enough, that I would embarrass myself, and that I had nothing valuable to share... The same as @palomap3 shared in the last show, I suppose that ALL that happened to me... My English was bad, I probably embarrassed myself, and my content was shitty... 😃

Despite all that, I was lucky to find a good community that was all about building and helping each other in growing... They probably knew that I suck, but still, they helped me to embrace that and continue... Practicing makes you better!! In those days, I was praying that nobody read my posts, but those upvotes were very well welcomed... 🙂 All in all, it was a very, very uncomfortable experience for me as I hadn't done blogging before, especially because of my introverted nature...

Fast forward to recent times, a huge step out of my comfort zone was a decision to do this #HHHLive show back in October last year... I was barely ready to speak English in my walk-and-talk videos for 5-7 minutes, and I was thrown into the fire to do a LIVE show (no editing, no second takes, etc. 😃)... And to talk for an HOUR!!!

As a reminder of the first show, I took these screenshots from the comment section of the announcement post for the FIRST SHOW ever! But, we will talk about these things in more detail in the show...

So, prepare your speech for the show... You will be asked to share your Hive story and what you did differently that you didn't do before... How you stepped out of your comfort zone and reached another level of growth... Your story matters and can (and will) inspire others to make a step! So, please, don't be shy and share it for the benefit of others!
