I have a potato laptop which is really old, only having 3rd generation of intel i5 processor but the issues with it does not end there as my hard disk space has only got 120gb of space so
Only 50 GB of it is allotted to my C: drive. That is why I was forced to use portable applications so they do not run from my C: drive. And things have been running smoothly on my laptop, which is great. Let's discuss my top 5 portable apps that I use on a regular basis:
- My first choice is the Chrome 64-bit portable app, which runs directly from my D: drive. Now I have further optimized my browsing experience by deleting some extensions that I don't use.
- I switched to CamStudio Portable, which is from the same people that brought camtasia software. This is a great and handy screen recorder, but the settings require some tweaking.
- For removing left-over fragments of data and clean uninstallations of files, I use Revo Uninstaller Portable, which really helps save me a lot of hard disk space.
- I use a video cutter portable since I cannot run Capcut on my laptop, and it does the job alright by cutting segments of videos, so this is really useful for me if I want to cut down long-form videos for 3 minutes plus into short-sized videos.
- Last but not least, I use Wise Portable for cleaning out my hard drive extra space, which is a good replacement for Ccleaner and even the Microsoft dedicated PC manager cleaner tool.
Now all of the above portable applications can be found on portableapps.com, so you just have to search for them.
Please let me know which portable applications you use on a daily basis?
