Foreword
Good day everyone! Would like to do a quick update on my Hive Saving Goal and its progress. Mid year had passed and time to look at where am I in terms of my savings goal. A little worrying against my goal and hence I will need to step up. So let's get on with today's post.
2025 Goal Progress Check
Primary Goal: Reaching 18k HP by 31st December 2025
Secondary Goal: Stretch primary goal and push towards 20k HP by 31st December 2025

Delta to primary goal: 4016 HP
Delta to secondary goal: 6016 HP
The delta is huge and I will need to approximately 700HP per month all the way till end of the year to hit my primary goal which is a super uphill battle. I am not sure how, but definitely extra effort needs to be put into growing my HP. Secondary goals looks way to far for now, but let's keep it there for now while I try to see how much HP I can push forth day month by month. Work wise is really busy and almost driving me nuts considering the crazy timeline involved. Let's see how work situation turns out.
Enablers for Goal
There are a couple of things that have worked well for me in 2024 and I know these are key enablers for my goal in 2025. Let's go through them 1 by 1.
Blogging on Hive Blockchain
This has always been the biggest source of HP growth and the need to be consistent in writing and curation. Will continue to stay strong in this and try to grow accordingly as shared in the power up day post, I've gain about 380HP in a month.
Layer 2 Token Management
There are many nice layer 2 tokens on Hive that provide some form of passive income. And there are also that have been accumulated while blogging and curating. Actively managing these tokens are important for growth, so here are some of the layer 2 tokens that actually generate liquid hive or swap.hive for me and boost my HP growth.
Liquid Hive Sources:
Holding EDSI tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.109 HIVE per week.
Holding SIM tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.024 HIVE per day.
Holding BRO tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.019 HIVE per week.
This totals up to 0.296 HIVE per week is a significant drop compared to last month. DAB dividend had been a little intermittent and unpredictable, hence I will focus on those that are consistent and remove DAB from the list. SIM is the main driver in growth due to me playing dCity which will be mentioned in the later paragraphs. EDSI is also something that I am monitoring closely and thankful that my ESDMM are giving me more EDSI from time to time to improve my passive base. BRO will be BRO, still consistent.
SWAP.HIVE Sources:
Holding BBH tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.00907 SWAP.HIVE per week.
This is a slow and steady growth from last month, though not super huge but it is good that it is growing and I also hope to build more of it.
dCity.
This is the biggest piece of the pie of my liquid passive where my accumulation in passive hive. Active managing and seeking ways to improve SIM income in the game will allow me to hold more SIM and subsequently gather more daily liquid hive drip. I am enjoying the game right now after an initial setup by a friend and now building up the city to yield me more SIM on a daily basis and ensuring the city becomes prosper to allow strong base of SIM and reaching the 1 million SIM Power mark to be part of SIM Millionaire for better benefits. At this moment I am pushing more layer 2 coins that are sitting around that I am not focused on into SIM so that my daily liquid hive drip can increase with more SIM accumulated.

External Faucets
As mentioned in previous month update, many would have deem this as a waste of time. But for me, sometimes just clicking on them time to time, I can still accumulate some crypto that can be channeled here to boost my growth. Sometimes while waiting for a public transport or queuing up for a meal, just randomly click one or two. Insignificant amount yes, but over time, it is still something and helps with savings as well.
Closing
I am a little worried with regards to my growth though the amount of HP has been consistently growing. While I do not want to force myself in some kind of slave driving mode. It is still important to measure myself against my goal so that I will not derail.
