Hello, Ecency community!
Powerful communication is not just limited to the virtue of one's words; it stems from feelings, delivery, meaning, and expression.
So what are you going to do to guarantee and keep their interest in your presentation for the maximum amount of time?
Jazz up your content!
The Ecency app is my top choice when it comes to the use of the Hive frontend. The classic hive.blog has always been a big part of my Hive experience and it's as reliable as the Ecency app. However, there are certain tools that the Ecency app has that aren't available in the hive.blog condenser. Here are some of them that I often use:
- 1-click markdown buttons
- Emoji(s)
- GIF(s)
These tools may sound simple but they greatly improve the user experience of the Ecency app in comparison to the Hive condenser type. Let me explain...
Within my posts or comments, there are specific lines that I wanted to emphasize and a good way to do it is to make it bold or italic or even both. In that way, the message is communicated with emphasis.
The 1-click buttons are found here:
All you have to do is select the words that you wish to "bold" or "italicize" and then click on the button. It's as simple as that, whereas in the hive.blog condenser you will have to memorize the markdown formula to achieve the same effect.
Another tool that I often used is the Link button found here:
It allows me to embed or add a web link to a specific word(s) instead of typing the whole name of the website or linking together with unnecessary characters.
This method is a good way to clean your posts with unnecessary characters that will be unsightly to the readers of your content.
Now, to the fun part!
In my posts and comments, I often use emojis to add emotion to my words or phrases.
I can say:
"I'm happy to read your feedback πβ€οΈ"
Adding a few emojis after the line gives more meaning to what I said. It's a simple gesture that I personally appreciate whenever someone does it to me. And there are varieties of emojis that you may use like:
ππππππ¦π½π»πΎπ¨ββοΈπ¨ββοΈπ¨βππ·πββοΈπββοΈ
These are very accessible and can be found here:
You may simply hover on top of the icon and a list of emojis can be added to your post by simply clicking on the specific emoji that you want to use.
Finally, my favorite tool... GIFs!!!
I think that GIFs are a fun way to interact with your readers. Personally, I find GIFs to be funny, and meaningful, and it takes out the boredom of the ones reading your post.
It just makes your post many times richer than a simple boring line of words.
I usually use GIFs in comments but I also add some on my posts just to break the monotony of reading long lines of words in a paragraph. Personally, I think GIFs add excitement to a post.
I'm exaggerating the use of GIFs in this post to show you how useful this tool is. And it's very accessible too, you may simply hover on top of the GIF icon found here:
And then type in the keyword that describes the GIF that you want and then select from the options provided.
