I'm one of those people who goes out looking for answers to questions that come into my head in the middle of the night, like, "It's great that the Satoshis we get in One Bitcoin Club can be held in @v4vapp's Keep Sats wallet on Lightning, but there's a limit to how much we can keep there ... I wonder if Xverse Wallet, which we all had to sign up to, accepts Lightning payments?"
The answer was NO when I joined One Bitcoin Club, but it will soon be YES!
Xverse and Sati have integrated, and Sati is bringing the Lightning integration to all Xverse wallet users! This means we will be able to get Lightning in both Xverse and V4V -- and THUS, Bitcoin and Hive have ANOTHER LINK, because now, 1.5 million Xverse users can send Bitcoin on Lightning to V4V, and get Hive and HBD!
Not only that! Sati works through WhatsApp ... that's three billion people ... all of them will be on Lightning. Because Sati and Xverse are linked, that puts all of them within grappling distance of Hive because we have V4V!
First things first, of course ... the article says the Lightning updates are going to be a Q3 rollout, so I wasn't surprised that OF COURSE, the only choices in Xverse are still Native and Nested Segwit for receiving Bitcoin. It may take anywhere from July 1 to September 30 -- Q3 -- for everything to be up and running ... but I got THIS from a service rep at Xverse confirming that YES, this is really happening --
And this is the demo link -- https://x.com/XverseApp/status/1928439899255869524
I am definitely looking forward to this, and it runs along the ideas that @alex-rourke has about Hive providing incentivized railways with Bitcoin ... the railways to make that possible are getting bigger!
Just think about this: there are 1.5 million Xverse users who could be using Hive -- they could be posting in OneBitcoinClub and earning both Hive and Bitcoin, learning about Hive and loving it and swapping Bitcoin effortlessly for Hive between Xverse and V4V to get their Hive Power and Resource Credits taken care of, earning Hive and powering up some, but also swapping some of it back to Bitcoin on V4V, sending it to Xverse, and telling other Xverse users to "Get on this -- Hive is doing the best of all worlds!"
Yes, there is going to be a learning curve, but @brianoflondon has done great guides on how to use V4V (and if he got ME to understand it, I'm sure anyone else can figure it all out), and we experienced Hivers can help with the "getting used to content creation or gaming or whatever" -- the social part -- of Hive.
But, to leave the big dreams alone for a little while, I'm looking forward to using Lightning to send my Bitcoin from OneBitcoinClub to my Xverse wallet -- onward and upwards to 50,000 sats! That was actually all I was trying to do -- make sure I didn't fall afoul of V4V's KeepSats limits -- but sometimes, a simple question can lead to amazing discoveries!
