Hello Friends,

I would like to review the recently introduced Promo Card Halfling Alchemist as promised in my last blog although I haven't posted in last 3 days.
Halfling Alchemist is an Epic Promo card recently introduced and I am sure most of the Splinterlands battlers have this either got it as an airdropped card or for purchasing Untamed packs in a group of 5.

As we can see above, this monster is of 6 levels and has 2 important abilities like Halving and Redemption.
Halving is the main characteristics of this with ability to halve the attack(melee, ranged or magic) of the monster it attacks and halving is rounded down to lowest point.
For example, a melee attack monster with 3 melee attack, gets down to 1 melee attack as the halving makes it to 1.5 attack which is then rounded to the below point of 1!!!
Redemption as we all know through Cursed Slimeball, reduces the health of all the monsters of opponent by 1
Let us see couple of battles with Halfling Alchemist and how it makes difference to the battle.
Battle 1:

https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=6d39a5c4166b125a3eaad1f1421c6f443a10f03d
This was a battle with 26 MANA cap and Healed Out and Lost Legendaries means, we can't use Legendary monsters and Healing ability monsters will lose that ability.
As we can see, opponent had fairly good combined attack with 5 and 2 melee attack from Goblin Mech and Manticore respectively along with 2+2 ranged attack from Haunted Spider* and Twisted Jester respectively totaling to 11 attack as against 11 attack from me as well from Goblin Mech, Spineback Wolf, Soulstorm and ofcourse Halfling Alchemist.

This is how it panned out after round 1 and as you can see, the Goblin Mech's melee attack got down to 2 from 5!!! and that's because Halfling Alchemist halved the attack to 2.5 which is then rounded to lower point of 2.
Although, Soulstorm was removed by Twisted Jester in this round itself, Halfling Alchemist saved the battle for me by reducing the attack by same level of what my Soulstorm could have done in subsequent levels.
In round 2 Goblin Mech was removed and although the Halfling Alchemist was removed in round 3, it had done what it is known for by doing another halving and this time it was Manticore whose attack halved to 1 from 2.
Eventually, I won the battle in round 8 and this wouldn't have been possible without the halving of attack from Halfling Alchemist
Battle 2:

This is my favorite among these 2 battles I shared just because, a battle which was about to lose is pulled back by just Halfling Alchemist(please check round 3) as it halved the magic attack of Ruler of Seas which was the difference in this otherwise lost battle.
Here are the screenshots for before round 3 start and end of round 3 respectively.
Before Round 3 Begins:

After Round 3:

I won the battle without losing Kobold Miner and Halfling Alchemist which wouldn't have been possible had Ruler of Seas had original attack of 4 magic instead of reduced 2 magic.
That is something I wanted to write since many days and I am happy I could do it today!!!!
