Permit me to start this post with "did you hear?", its the phrase we use when we want to give a hot gossip around where I'm from. So did you hear Splinterlands was granted a slot in Ubisofts Entrepreneurs lab Season 5? Okay okay okay, lets take a brief look into Ubisofts Entrepreneurs Lab, as a matter of fact, let me introduce Ubisoft, for those that don't know.
Ubisoft is the creator and distributor of interactive entertainment and services and the maker of blockbuster favorites Assassin’s Creed and Wii Just Dance. The company was founded by the five Guillemot brothers in 1986 in Brittany, France. It went public on the Paris stock exchange ten years later, making key acquisitions over the next several years (including Red Storm Entertainment, maker of the Tom Clancy games, and Blue Byte Software) and opening studios in Shanghai and Montreal. By 2011 Ubisoft was one of the world’s top 10 independent publishers; the company now has more than 10,000 employees on six continents. Revenues in 2015 were EU 1.5 billion ($1.6 billion USD.

On an average day, about 20,000 players are recorded to be playing one of the worlds most popular games Assasins Creed created by Ubisoft, it is without doubt that Ubisoft has access to millions of players around the world, in a post written by @taskmaster4450, gaming is estimated to be a 5 trillion dollar market,
So now one of the leading companies contributing to that, Ubisoft, is about to go into some sort of Entrepreneurship program with Splinterlands.
Ubisoft periodically organises an event called Enterpreneurship lab where they lend their world-class facilities and expertise both in dev and marketing to Entrepreneurs/projects/startups who have massive potential to create immense fun in the Ubisoft way. So the Fifth Season was just launched and Splinterlands happened to be one of the few selected projects.
Though the collaboration between Ubisoft and startups this season will be mostly virtual, the selected candidates can still benefit from Ubisoft’s experience and expertise to help them achieve their goals and invent the future of entertainment.

This is a caption from the Ubisofts Entrpreneural Season's theme, goals and vision and these are things that are already being practiced within Splinterlands as a game and a community, the game already embodies the ingredients to be the leading project on the entire list.

The most fascinating part is where they emphasized on the ability for players to share their games with the world, it fascinates me to know we've been doing this over the months on Splinterlands and are even being rewarded for it in more than one token(the Hive blockchain way).
In short I think Ubisoft hasn't realized how big of a deal it is to work with an already promising project like Splinterlands.
Likewise it is a major deal for Splinterlands, that moon ain't so far away anymore is it?
