I was sitting in my room when i heard a screaming voice outside. I rushed outside where i saw two boys arguing. One was a bit calm and the other one was shouting and using foul language. Seeing this i remembered a quote by Epictetus
"Any person capable of angering you becomes your master"
The other boy was just doing the work of adding fuel to fire and the one with a loud sound continued his shouting.
I was the same a few years ago, i also had many anger issues. I used to become angry over little things. But as the time passed i realised that this wont work for me in my life. Because getting angry over small things always caused trouble for me.
Let me share some of methods which i myself applied to get rid of my anger issues.
I totally understand how frustrating and overwhelming anger issues can be.
Try to identify the things or people which trigger you:
From now on try to find those situations or people often making you angry. Once you become successful in that try to make yourself well prepared for those things or people to handle in future.Try to relax:
When you see that you are getting angry over anything, try to escape that situation, take deep breaths, make yourself calm, this would be a great help to control your anger.Communicate more with people:
Whenever you see yourself in a harsh situation try to handle that with a gossip in a calm way. Believe me there are hundreds of different ways to handle difficult situations rather than getting angry.Try to approach professional people:
But after applying these all mehtods if you still see yourself in a difficult situation that you can't control much then try to seek professional help. It would be a great help.
Always remember one thing, it is ok if you feel angry sometimes but there are other ways to control every situation which is even more better way to go through in your life.
