Who would have thought that, almost as soon as I started a new account named 'Diary of a Creative', I would stop posting daily/start posting less?
Let me look up the definition of diary:
diary
/dī′ə-rē/
noun
- A usually daily written record of personal experiences and observations; a journal.
- A daily record of events or measurable phenomena,
usually kept to track patterns over time.- A book or computer file used for keeping such a record.
(From The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition)
Okay, usually daily (recording).
I have the feeling that my sharing might become more of a weekly thing from now on but who knows?
I sure don't
What I do know, is that (v)inconsistency has been one of my many middle names for quite some time, to which I will add that change is the only constant in life ;<)
So what happened in my life in the last week or so?
A lot
and also not very much at all
but, to be honest, summarizing isn't my hobby either and it isn't all that important.
Suffice to say that I haven't created much, when it comes to my Monster of Disco writing, in fact it might have been nothing at all and that's okay.
One thing I have been focusing on is my health, both mentally and physically and this also includes not being too hard on myself ( being grateful, accepting things, letting go of perfectionism, eating and drinking what I like and usually re-balancing the day after, among other things ).
I also finally tied the knot regarding my travel plans. I will be going to both The Netherlands ( to visit my mom, siblings and last but not least my newest (months old!) nephew and last but not least some good friends ). From The Netherlands I will journey onward to Italy, to visit my good friend @clareartista
Can't wait!✨
Aside from creating the mental space to make these decisions in and focusing on health and healing, I have also been actively studying finance and economics, almost daily ( as can be read in this blog post with a podcast recommendation on my fairly unknown account @finansaurus )
While I write this, the sheep of a local farmer have been grazing on the field in front of my rental house in the picturesque Portuguese countryside. The sun is not yet shining but I'm sure it will break through, sooner or later, and let's be fair, we've got plenty of sunshine anyway, so all cloudy hours are much appreciated.
Oh and I almost forgot to share that I have been taken plenty of rest ( when my overactive mind permits me ) as well as relaxation and the necessary social time, which included a number visits to local river beaches, to be in touch with nature and revitalize myself while people watching and being (people) watched cause that's just the nature of the beast human.
I am already looking forward to having dinner and possibly watching a movie with a friend, tonight.
I hope you're enjoying your day as much as you can and that you make the most of it, without being too hard on yourself. It's okay to do less
and be more.✨
Much love,
Vincent
