It is time to stop thinking about the past, as it has been the main thing occupying my mind in the past days and period. I kept talking to myself about the past, what happened to me, and what I should have done. But some things cannot be changed no matter what. That’s why thinking about the future and what you are going to do is the solution to get rid of all these negative thoughts. I have now understood the reason why I kept thinking about the past for such a long time.
A person needs to think when they have free time. So I was using this free time in the wrong way by thinking about the past instead of thinking about the future. That is what happened to me in the last period. I had free time, and I spent it thinking about things I regretted in the past or things I should have done. But after I understood the problem, I realized that the best thing to do is to stop thinking about the past and start thinking about the future. This is what will really make a change.
The best thing you can do is think about how you will change your future, because you cannot change your past. But to be clear and honest, the best thing to do is to learn from the past without trying to change it. Try to build a good future, because one day, your future will become your past. So if you want to have a good past, you need to think carefully and make your future good.
Thinking about the past might be full of blame, regret, or bad situations that happened to you and made you think about them all the time. That’s why the best way to get rid of these thoughts is to always stay busy. If you can, try to think positively and focus on the future. If you cannot do that, then stay busy with continuous work until you reach a state of mental exhaustion that stops you from thinking about the past or any negative things.
You can write down what’s on your mind regularly and try to find solutions through writing, using pen and paper. This will help you improve your mental state without getting distracted by your thoughts. This is what helped me when I started writing down everything negative I was thinking. Slowly, I began to deal with and solve the things I wrote about until I was able to get rid of them.
