Coffee and I are old friends (coffee is older than me of course) and I do a lot of thinking over coffee. With this in mind I decided to start a little concept called thoughts over coffee which I'll be doing from time to time.
I don't like laziness or reward it and while I don't have anything against down-time, relaxation, doing nothing and such other legitimate activities being lazy grinds my gears. There's many different forms of laziness and here's one of them:
Laziness - Confusion
How many times have I said, I don't know what to do. I'll admit to a few times throughout the course of my life. Ok, maybe more than a few. Procrastination? Hmm maybe, but potentially laziness creeping in.
The cure for this phrase and the feelings that cause it can be very simple to find. When I find myself feeling this way, procrastinating which I do not like, I think of one simple and small task which can be easily achieved; because it's small and easy it's very likely to happen and that can often start some momentum and I'm back on track to productivity soon enough.
Overthinking can be a massive roadblock and doesn't necessarily lead to clarity; I think clarity comes from doing something, taking action, and that's the concept behind the small task or action concept.
What do you reckon? If you want to comment below then go ahead, I'm interested in your thoughts and experiences.
