I just came back from Turkey two days ago and getting back to normal life little by little. I am making plans for December as I will be facing several important changes in my personal and working life so it is good to get some perspective and organize what is about to come.
I work remotely from home and since yesterday I have started to do that from my folk's home to start helping them get released from day-to-day decisions and homework. We have hired a lady to help them in their daily life and my task will be more for support and supervision for that new extra help we will be having at their house. I plan to start going there in the mornings and after a few days I will spend most of my working hours unless I have to attend a meeting somewhere else. The idea is to make this transition as smooth as possible so they accept the help.
From the working side focus, I am also start recruiting the team to launch our new project. While at Turkey I was able to meet with our main developer and define the plaform needs at launch, he will take care of smart-contract deployment and front-end development. We have also a graphic designer in the team which will create the webpage and all marketing and comms material needed. There are two of us which will take care of project management and client adquisition. From there we will keep recruiting new profiles as the project grows.
Besides changing my working space and focussing in the new venture, I also plan to do a 4 day trip to Portugal before Christmas to finally sign the purchase of our property. I believe it will be pretty cold and the place is not prepared to spend the night, so we will evaluate if we try to install a wood burner or we spend those nights at local hotel while we start planning how to arrange the whole place by spring and summer.
I also plan to start working on my phisical condition again, the summer surgery and the trip to Turkey have kept me away from my weekly mountainbiking, I do not like too much going out with the cold weather but I will try to at least get on the bike twice a week again to keep my weight where it is, now that I have managed to reduce some of it due to the diet I had to keep before and after surgery.
This is my plan for next month, of course I also will be joining some family Christmas dinner and take some time to relax for a few days as the year ends, but I hope taking time to rearange some of my life in December will make it easyer to move forward next year.
