So I have my first bitter experince with the landlord. It does not take long enough and took only 7 days to see the real facet of the landlords. Honestly speaking all these experince were new to me as never lived in any rented accommodation. Infact I let out my own property to differrnt tennats and never ever care to visit them. Neither for rent, nor for maintenance. There is a mutual understanding and trust that we carry along, and never have any differences. But getting some harsh doze when it comes to living in rental property does shook me the true picture.

as it happened!
It all began when he was handling me the keys. At that time he wanted full year payment at first and only then he handed me the keys. Now last 3 days I was facing some water issue. In this scorching summer time, everyone looks after water as only mode of survival. But last three days I had some issue. Being an old building there were some issues with the plumbing part. Water was not coming down to our room. When I raised the concern then he denied it saying it might be due to shortage of water in the tank. Next day, when I had similar issue, he said we were using too much of water which leads to water shortage. While I raised the point that there might be some issue with the supply pipes as it might get choked. But he resisted it saying they never had such kind of issues ever. Now since yesterday evening there were no water at all in the pipes. When i showed him, he said that he will get it fixed today.
Somehow my neighbour sharing the same tank had similar issue and he called upon the plumber after discussing with my landlord. While cleaning up the choked part, the old pipes of my room got damaged. The building still has old iron pipes instead of the new pvc pipes. The plumper asked for the new material, as he won't be able to repair the old iron pipes. I called the the landlord to know of the cost involved of repairing. To which he simply denied bearing the maintenance cost. He straight way said that such cost should be beared by me and he has nothing to do with the room. When I insisted that the material used will be fixed in his property and it has nothing to do with me, he started arguing that it was my fault of getting the plumber. He wanted to call his own plumber and I did commit something wrong getting the repaired done. He even asked me to vacat the property. For him it was my fault of having the choked pipes.
Learning experience
It was such a terrible experince meeting such kind of person. As far as I know , in my let out property, if the tenant faced anybissue, I simply asked them to get the repaired done and deduct the amount from the rent. It all helped us to manage easily. Neither I go out to interfere neither they wanted me to do so. It has been already been many years since such things were carried out in my property. But the today's case really showed me why the landlords werr alwsys in firing line. When you get someone so rude, then there is no question of keeping the understanding going.
the step ahead!
Now I am in a position of neither to negotiate, nor to do anything. I came gere for a purpose and have to bow down looking at my condition. If his behaviour remain so rude then I have to make some twist to show my real face. I do not wanted any argument or quarrels. For the time being I am like just let the things go, but again if we have such starting then how the things will go ahead in future. That really bothering me.
It alwsys get difficult to handle the person of such mindset. They are too complex and mean to handle. They are selfish and never easy to convince. As I am making adjustment in life I remain silent and accepted the additional cost. But now I started looking for another accommodation to move away as soon as possible. My stay at this place going to be too short. The location and atmosphere is perfect at this place but when you don't get a landlord of your choice then going gets too tough.
