Kissing
Kicking It
We spent the day aimlessly wandering around Tallinn oldtown, grabbing a coffee and tea whenever one of us needed to go the bathroom. Though, I think that that is a self-perpetuating process.
Like in many tourist cities there are a lot of pigeons.

But normally it is the pigeon looking in the window at the people.
And just outside one of the old town gates, is a flower market that has heaps of beautiful bouquets. Every time we have been here, my wife comments about how much cheaper they are here than in Finland. What I find interesting is this is how people travel - everything is relative to what one knows. Good and bad. However, it also means that we aren't looking too much at the things we don't know anything about, the things we have no comparison for. We are blinded by experience, just as much as informed.
I used to not like whisky, but I am starting to enjoy whiskey sours.
One bit of something different was we saw a RedBull truck setting up for something and an hour later we saw Jaan Roose slacklining a few hundred meters between buildings in oldtown. I didn't know this was much of a thing, but apparently last year he travelled 3600 meters walking between mainland Italy and Sicily.
I like that last photo.
The thing that makes it a better photo for me is the flock of birds flying below.
And then of course, there are the obligatory photos of churches and around the city. There were no photos allowed in the church, which is something I don't really understand as long as you aren't there using flashes, making a lot of noise, and taking selfies. I accidentally took some with my camera set to silent, so the shutter doesn't fire. It works more like a phone camera in that mode.
As we were walking and talking, we didn't actually take too many photos and we just wandered and (or meandered) around, doing very little. We did end up walking about 11,000 steps (14,000 for my short wife), but it was a very easy day.
And weirdly, I didn't take a photo of it, but we came back to the hotel in time for "chocolate hour" which I thought was going to be something sexual, but was actually just some complimentary cakes and chocolate snacks. Not a bad way to warm up for the pool.
And now, after a swim, sauna and relaxing dip in the hot pool, we will head for a nice steak dinner at a restaurant close by. It will be back to reality tomorrow afternoon - but we will have time for another swim and sauna before we head out back to Finland.
When's the next trip?
