To go along with the Splinterlands Team Update about SPS and the decreased amount of SPS being distributed, now we thought we'd share a bit about PKM.

We are working on a larger feature that we expect to be pretty popular.
Account tiers and PKM will play an impact on how much you get to use it.
It's about to go into internal testing phase we'll tell you more when we get closer.
PKM LIQUIDITY POOL APR
PKM:SPS is the 4th largest diesel pool in liquidity in all of Hive after 3 pools rewarded and funded directly by the Splinterlands team
We had our one time huge PKM distribution about 40 days ago and during that time the price almost tripled, and many users added PKM to the liquidity pool.
PKM rewards pool APR remains consistently above 70% still even after 40+ days.
This means that when you buy via PeakMonsters the PKM you get has much more value than its face value.
PKM:SPS LP REWARDS
The tokens being set aside for the rewards distribution for the next 120 period when this one ends is already doing quite well...
There are 3.3 million DEC in the @pkm-rewards account and 11k SPS which is being earned by the DEC airdrop points and inflation.
Meanwhile, the sponsored SPS provided by Splinterlands team has also gained 16k SPS in interest and 1,226 vouchers that can be put in that pool as well. (Increasing daily)
This is with ~80 days still left and every week the amount of DEC in that pool increases, which means the rate of increase of SPS also increases. So it's very likely that the pool will be much more than triple what it is now and could exceed the rewards from the first quarter of distributions, even with a decreased amount of PKM being given during the next quarter.
Which token do you want as rewards?
With that being said, to those earning PKM and putting it into the LP pool, which token do you enjoy getting the most from the pool? On discord we've heard that a lot of people would like to see a somewhat equal combination of PKM and SPS because they often add right back into the pool.
We are fine exchanging some of the tokens in that pool including buying more PKM from the market to put in the pool and essentially increase the demand on PKM through this mechanism.
