Oh, Hi everyone! 😍
Could you feel my warm greetings? 🤗 . . , Starting my blog with a warm greeting as I want to share this slice of happiness I found on the beautiful and serene cliff of Catmon where a simple and quiet life exists. A scenery enough to warm my senses. I hope in you too.
I mentioned in my last blog my longing to visit a beach. And so this is the answer to my heartfelt yearning.
Living in an archipelago, visiting a beach is as easy as buying new clothes in a thrift shop, but finding a serene one that is untouched, free, and away from people is getting scarce as many of the beaches in the town are already developed by the owners and transformed into an exclusive private beach resort. While there are still some public beach resorts that still offer an escape, but these beaches are also flocked with locals.
So I consider it a treasure- finding one where I can savor the solitude and enjoy it all by myself. And this is what I'm sharing with you today!
So Let's go! Taraaa!
One of the Serene and Picturesque Cliff Beach of Catmon
My visit to the quaint town of Catmon at this time is to purposely visit KM47 Beach. I've been curious about this beach because this is frequented by locals. Though I was expecting a crowd since it was the weekend but deep inside me was hoping to find a peaceful corner where I could enjoy the beach and have some "me" time.
While it's unfortunate to say that the driver of the tricycle I rode with wasn't familiar with the beach I was looking for. To cut a long story short, it turned out to be my great luck to arrive at another place and discover the beautiful and serene cliffside of Catmon instead!
What a serendipity!
The picturesque view.
As soon as the driver dropped me off in the sidestreet to look for another vehicle, my eyes hurriedly searched for a place where I could wait for the next one. I looked around and was surprised to see a cliff and beach which greeted me below. I couldn't get enough view of the beach because of the tall green trees playfully obstructing my view. Or shall I see, the trees protecting this beauty which adds an element of mystery and anticipation?!
So with curiosity and anticipation of what grand beauty was waiting for me. I took a step going down full of excitement. I was hesitant if I was trespassing on the beach, luckily a local kid came and I learned that the cliff beach is public, albeit wonderfully secluded. This added to my excitement and couldn't wait to finally see this hidden gem!
Charaan!!!
A tranquil beach nestled beside the cliff, the giant rocks scattered everywhere like islets, and the activity of the fishermen and the local kids enjoying their time on the beach left me in awe. In front of me is life's simple yet amazing things.
I found myself staring and deeply immersed in how breathtaking nature is. It's as if everything slowed down. Deep in my heart I wish, life is always like this. just silent and simple, no deadlines to beat, no bills to think of, no pressure, just simple and quiet. A sigh of contentment escaped me. 'Aaaaaahhh!
After this deep thought, I enjoyed myself skipping on the rocks as I had my stroll. The beach is beautiful more than I thought!
The beach Cliff and Rock formations
In all fairness, the beach here is far more beautiful compared to the developed beach in Catmon.
There are part of the beach that is surrounded by rocks which make it look like a lagoon, but most parts of the beach is just beside the cliff giving it a good spot for diving.
The wonderful rock formations which I believe are due to the artistic collaboration of the waves and wind also add a spectacular view of the beach!
I just found a secret sanctuary!
The busy side of the beach.
Aside from the beautiful view of the beach and the rocks, another sight of the beach is the fishermen's fishing gear and the intricate fishnets. or fish cage?
This is my first time seeing these kinds of nets crafted in different shapes. I was wondering about the abundance of fish this beach must have.
On the quiet beach, there is one local sitting and skillfully making his fishing nets. I felt happy that I had the opportunity to engage in a few conversations with him and learn more about this place. It turns out he is the caretaker of the beach.
The lost kittens!
Aside from the sound of the waves, another voice I heard where the desperate meows of the abandoned kittens on the cliff.
Yes, I am not a pet lover, but I couldn't deny that I felt sorry for these kittens. They were hopelessly searching for food and crying out.
As much as I wanted to help them and maybe bring them home I just couldn't, because for some reason a sense of caution held me back.
Thankfully, the local kids were very kind to bring food with them and shared it with the cats.
I spent my time enjoying the serene view and exchanging conversations with the locals I met. It was such a great time! I felt warm and comforted by nature.
Time to go home!
On my way up, this kitten followed me! Can you guess if I brought the kitten with me home? Or return the kitten to the beach?
That's it for today's delight - a picturesque view of the beach cliff, some local friends, and some furry friends!
Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed it. I wish you all safe and well always.
Don't forget to smile often.🤗😍😊
